you're not going to get better hp/value than an STI.

everything else is old/going to cost money to upgrade and continue costing money to upgrade, or new and cost a lot of money to start with. personally, I'd go with new based on my experiences tuning cars as they are enjoyable but quite the money sink with no way to get that value back

Love it. All the fawning in the automotive press is well-deserved. Wrong Wheel Drive or not, it is set up fantastically well from the factory. Steering is great, handling is great, ride quality is great. Interior is... well, a bit tacky, but once you're sitting in it you don't notice the worst of it.

Color is not what I would've picked, but there wasn't much choice back in August when they became available with 0% financing for the first time ever (and who can say no to free money?). The glow-in-the-dark blue was the only option within 150 miles of my house.

Yeah I did the same lol, tested a STI just for some reason didn't like the handling as much as I did for the Evo. There's two guys that drive STis at the school I go to and they always make it a point to park beside me. Came out of class one day and they were parked on both sides of me lol.

I drive a Scion xB. With a spoiler. The spoiler makes all the difference. It makes it go faster. For cereals.

Seriously though, I really like it. It's roomy but fits into Compact spaces, comfortably seats 5, and the back seat can be folded down for some pretty amazing cargo space. My mom managed to cram 20 bales of peat moss in there, or maybe more, I don't remember. Mileage isn't as good as those tiny two door economy cars, like the Yaris (which my Dad drives, because its a manual and I'm awful at stick), but still better than most cars its size. Handles great and is pretty zippy.

Looks-wise, as far as I know it's the least boxy of the Scions, and my friends all say that they don't like the way other Scions look but they like mine. So there's that, whatever that's worth. It's a dark green with a slight bluish tint. Like dark teal or something. I like it. And like I said, it has a spoiler, for WARP FACTOR NINE POINT NINE! Also it makes it look cooler, I think. It's a stock spoiler, not some aftermarket piece of crap, so it looks like its just a part of the car. You can get it with all kinds of little light-up panels and shit like that, which ours originally had, but my parents find that sort of thing to be silly, so they had the dealer take it all out, except these light-up panels along the base of the front doors, because those would have cost the dealer more to uninstall than he would make selling them to someone else (or something like that), so we got them for free. And the spoiler, because my dad liked the way it looked, and I agree.

1) Red 1994 Chrysler Intrepid ES - My first car, the transmission inevitably got all Chrysler on me and I used it to blind trade-in for my dad's 2001 SS Camaro. Suckers.

2) Black 1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 w/ 6-speed manual - For trading in my shitty Intrepid, I got this handed down to me. I loved it, super fun to drive, the 6-speed was apparently super rare in this model... but it was eventually totaled in some fucking 10-car pile-up on HWY 101. Grr...

3) Silver 1989 Land Rover Range Rover - I bought it from some random customer at the classic British automotive shop I used to work at for $700. Was a fucking steal, even with 150,000+ miles on it. I drove that fucking thing into the ground and it loved me for it. Through the mountains, across beaches... until the rear differential exploded on the way back to college one summer, which was obviously not worth the money to repair. RIP, my dear friend.

4) Grey 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo - I bought it from my mom who conveniently needed to get rid of it when my Range Rover died and I hate it. It's the first car I don't actually care about enough to keep clean and maintain properly like my others... not to mention it's hard to do so without a garage now that I live in the city. I really want to get rid of it.

Next, a Triumph Speed Triple hopefully...

Then, when I have a garage, I'll make a restoration project out of a 60's MGB B GT.
