2011's don't come in blue (they retired the color after '10, I believe), and the 2011 is a superior car to the 2010, spec-wise. Plus, the odds of you finding a blue one for sale at a dealership is next-to-none. Can always get a custom-painted one, yourself!

It is now, thing was a steal in 2003 though, I only paid $17,000 for it new. The preorders were really cheap cause they hadn't been market proven yet. I would not buy a 2006-2012+ model prius though, VW diesels tend to be the best bang for the buck in terms of total cost of ownership.

But hey, I said I'm done with gas for my next car, and that only really leaves me one viable choice(tesla), not the best TCO, but sticking to my guns...invisible hand of the free market failed me =(

I was going to say, for my 2010 Kia Soul, I paid 16K for it. My payment is $175/mo and I have a 10-year warranty. Can't beat that lol

Black 2011 Scion tC, regret the color choice so much... black just sucks to keep clean and maintain. Never getting that color again.

Agreed, I like blue cars, I have one of those awesome '96 honda accords, dark green, 187k miles. Not lowered or tinted lights or anything dumb like that.

Hopefully after college going to upgrade to a newer model accord/civic that's blue, and manual. I think I'm done with automatics

I like the look (probably more than most if not all other colors), but the problem is that 90% of the time it'll look like crap (or well, musty/old) because it's so hard to keep clean. When it is clean though, yeah, it does look fantastic.

I'm sure that differs with area and weather/climate, but in the North East... between massive amounts of salt in the winter, more salt and then pollen/mud in the spring, pollen/dirt/sand/dust/mud in the summer, and then more salt/pollen/mud/etc in the fall... short of literally washing the car every week it will rarely look as good as it should. It's not like I drive off-road or go on road trips or anything, I typically just commute. But it'll still be filthy within a 1-3 weeks of a full detail.

Not to mention, all the tiny little rocks from high-way driving that leave little white chips at the paint (THIS is the killer, never had this with any other car... not sure if the Scion just has an incredibly cheap paint job, or black just chips easier, or I do far more highway driving than normal, or what).

If they were available yet (as of now, only available for ordering, but not for driving home) and I made the next level of income at my job, I'd have put in an order. I bought this one earlier than I was initially expecting after my older Camaro finally started showing too much of her age to be driven on a daily basis.

I'd say just about anything else besides Honda. After seeing how they fabricate their vehicles parts (Including Acura related models) I'll never invest or recommend one. Its absolutely depressing how many corners they cut and skimp on long term quality engineering now vs. the 90s.

You just recommended 3 cars worse in build quality and engineering than the Honda Civic. The sonic is just an aveo (a fucking daewoo), and the Rio is garbage. The Elantra is ok.

A secret about car manufacturers - they all cut the same corners. They aren't in the business of making cars last 500k miles anymore, they want people to buy a new one at least every 10 years.
