I guess I should contest this parking ticket I got..."but your honor, no one can prove I parked it there, I shouldnt have to pay it". I'm pretty sure that before I even get out of the court room, my car will either be:
1-towed away
2-booted

I can post on BG from work, doesn't take up time to do that.

And my problem isn't that they can't prove who is driving as much as that they aren't trying to. They can make sure not to punish the wrong person if they want to, they literally don't want to because it makes them less money.

Oh, well if a $40 fine isn't a big deal for one person, i guess it's np for them to just hand them out to millions of people, whether they were speeding or not.

This is a legal battle/argument. It's subject to judges interpreting a huge volume of legal opinion. Am I shocked that Maryland's judges interpret it differently than Arizona's or California's? Not particularly. Do I think this program will hold up over the next 10 years? Not particularly. What exactly is it that I'm "wrong" about? I'm saying how I think the system "should" work, providing evidence about how it "does and does not" work in other states. You can think it should work a different way - I just think you're on the short end of it when all is said and done.

no one is against adding face cameras they're just saying it doesn't really matter either way cause it's not that big of a deal and is prolly not worth the time/money/effort if anything it's just going increase the number of entitled pricks to get off the hook with silly loopholes

So because of oarking tickets, you want to just stop trying with speeding cameras. Ok, dont know where you get off on this when there are three points to remember; this is supposed to punish law breakers, the technology exists to take face pictures, and it costs us no extra money since they are already profiting over 70million a year in that tiny ass fucking state.

Again, this isnt about trying to loop hole out of paying a fine. Its about preventing innocent people from getting charged in the first place. Sorry youre too dense to see that.

In California they have face cameras on the red light cameras, there are no points involved. In fact paying the fine is optional because the courts determined that without a witness to the crime there is no opportunity to face your accuser so while they send out "tickets", refusal to pay them carries no penalty.
