Face cameras might not entirely solve the problem, but it would increase conviction accuracy significantly. I'm still baffled by how so many are willing to assume guilt so unconditionally. If people blowing through a school zone is such a fucking concern, then you put cops there and let them write $120+ tickets like the one I got going 63 in a 55 a decade ago 17 because I would've got detention at school being tardy again because my little sister had to take 3 hours doing her make up in the morning and always made me late. Bitch didn't pay a cent, either.

Apparently these cameras otherwise don't deter people enough if they're raking in 70 mil. The fact the rich can just laugh it off with no point penalty is dumb as fuck in its own right. If we assume $40 the standard, that's 1,750,000 tickets, or 4,795 tickets a day. Roughly 1 in 3 MD residents get a ticket daily, it'd seem. "Everyone speeds!" I don't doubt that. Everyone a danger when doing so? Unlikely, especially if still in misdemeanor range.

What does it matter when it is with out a doubt the most fair way to conduct business, and can already be paid for by using profits from the speed cameras themselves. Hell, just cap the amount of cameras that can be installed to the amount of revenue being generated by the cameras, until all of them are caught up retroactively. Then again, that would mean we're doing this to enforce the law, and not actually make money off this. And here we come full circle...

Now, you've never given permission to your 2 roommates to use your vehicles, but it had to be them, they were the only ones with access to a set keys you left in your room. Your court date comes and both of them deny it was them. WHAT TO DO?

Assuming you're the average bg poster, you'll take it in the ass, pay the fine and leave passive aggressive notes on your roommate's bedroom door, and then post a thread on bg about it and the 3rd post will tell you to hit them with a water bottle.

In this case, I'd be the one getting the ticket, and I am innocent, and the government is trying to take my money, even if I can definitely prove I wasn't driving.
