Ryan Clark won't be listed on the injury report this week, but the Steelers safety should be sidelined for Sunday's playoff game in Denver.

Clark has sickle cell trait, a condition that can be problematic in the high altitude of Denver. In a 2007 game there, Clark became violently ill and lost his spleen and gall bladder because of deprivation of oxygen to his major organs.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin didn't let Clark play in a 2009 regular-season game at Denver. He didn't let him play in a preseason game there last year. So, it seems only logical that Clark shouldn't play in Sunday's playoff game there, right?

"We're going to meet with the doctors at some point [today] or Tuesday," Tomlin told reporters following a 13-9 win at Cleveland. "Last time we went [to Denver], we worked him out extensively to see how he responded, and they gathered the data in that regard. So, we'll put some heads together, and when I'm talking about heads I'm talking about medical experts, not myself."

Clark told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review that the decision whether to play is in Tomlin's hands and not his.

"It's easier on me that way anyway," Clark said. "No decision has been made, so we've got things to talk about."

Not playing Clark is an easy decision when looking at the risks to his health. It's not an easy one when it comes to winning football games.

Prolly due to the lockout and not being to talk contracts much over the summer, also quite a few are RFA I think, like Rice. I know Landry and Fletcher both already said they want to stay in WSH and are in contract talks.

DJax and VJax have both said they will accept Franchise Tags also, VJax was tagged this year I think.
