I didn't really know anything of him or hear of him in the news, but even if Beyonce died I wouldn't be celebrating it and I want that bitch to drop off thee face of the planet.

Celebrate someone's death? Unless they killed more than a few people, on purpose, with no remorse, I wouldn't even bother batting an eye at it.
Coaches these days may look like they run shit, but I guarantee if a guy like Nick Saban pulled shit or broke major rules or got the school in trouble from something he did, he'd be out in a split second. Coaches are the faces of the university. They don't run shit whether you'd like to believe they do or not.

College football homers? Are you fucking stupid? If the guy had literally been the person who raped these kids, I'd not give a shit either, but he didn't. He was set in his ways, he didn't handle it morally correct, just like the President/VP.. and shit went down hill. A terrible situation.. but he did so much good for that school and that community. to say 'good riddance' like he was OJ Simpson or something? I mean come on, man.

And.. saying 'child rape enabler' and 'good riddance'? You don't have to post here in this thread you know.

You've proven time and time again what a moron you are when it comes to sports outside of DROSE and DABEARS, so we won't go futher to question your knowledge about whether a person should or shouldn't get fired.

Why are you bringing up Jim Tressell? Is he involved in a scandal where children were raped, or is he involved in hiding shit from his officials at the school. He 'ran' Ohio State too, by the way, and he was fired like nothing. ANYONE can get fired at any time, whether you win titles or not. That's how shit goes.

And the shit about Ryan Dunn along with Patrice O'Neal was fucked up too and I hated that, which is why I stayed away from this thread. People have no idea what respect is anymore, just because we're on the internet where shit's unfiltered.

If I had my way, this would be a thread to report who died, condolences, and that's it. Shit talking can get the fuck out. If you wanna shit talk someone after they died, make a thread somewhere else and have fun with it. Just show some respect.

Jim tressell ran Ohio State and only after it came out that he knew the players were trading football gear for tattoos did he get fired. They were gonna slap him in the wrist.

College football Coaches are routinely protected by the university because of the amount of money they pay them as well as the influence they garner nationwide with the coaching community.

I can post of list of college coaches of all sports who have been shielded by the universities if you'd like. although I doubt you would be smart enough to understand its significance.

This thread's about the deaths of those who'd be recognized as 'celebrity', so if you've got shit you want to post.. do so elsewhere, not here, and if you've got more negative bullshit to say about this current situation, do so elsewhere, not here.

You know, all this wangst about him and we're ignoring the most important question:

"I wonder if they waited for Sunday so as not to ruin anyone's weekend"

    Edit: Fixed the snark.

When you're talking about the rape of a 13-year old, where physical evidence will last a few days at most, and the kid could easily be in continuing peril, um, yeah a day matters.

This happened because of an unhealthy conflation of appropriate post-death etiquette for private persons and the etiquette governing deaths of public figures. They are not and should not be the same. We are all taught that it is impolite to speak ill of the dead, particularly in the immediate aftermath of someone’s death. For a private person, in a private setting, that makes perfect sense. Most human beings are complex and shaped by conflicting drives, defined by both good and bad acts. That’s more or less what it means to be human. And — when it comes to private individuals — it’s entirely appropriate to emphasize the positives of someone’s life and avoid criticisms upon their death: it comforts their grieving loved ones and honors their memory. In that context, there’s just no reason, no benefit, to highlight their flaws.

But that is completely inapplicable to the death of a public person,
Stifling any discussion that reflects negatively on a recently deceased individual is a really bad idea.

there's a difference between pointing out someone's flaws, and being a complete and utter dick.

I fail to see where age is relevant here and if the kid is in "continuing peril" then there would be more evidence, no? lol

Besides, he's acting like the guy did the rape himself the way he talks about him.

Frankly, I don't care either way, but much mayad is detected within his posts
