So daurdabla is only good for being able to put up 3 songs, 4 if the bard is willing to spend 180M on HMP (at 120k each), good investment.

id say so, its way better than any of the other 95 empyreans
At the very least it makes GHorn look like a 150M inventory saver.
Did this stupid post influence afterglow effects? Note the date...

What even remotely relevant event reasonably facilitates bard rotations? Voidwatch? No. Neo-Nyzul? No. Dynamis? No, in that sense that it just adds to the number of people who are missing out on a large amount of potential currency. Harp is beyond a shadow of a doubt the best use of the limited 95-99 resources for empyrean weapons.
You may have received my post correctly, but just in case, note that I said facilitates and not necessitates. DD stand to benefit greatly from more than two songs in virtually all events, but most of what's relevant right now(and for quite some time) doesn't make bard rotations easy and/or possible. In Voidwatch, you're forced to give up potential procs. In Neo-Nyzul, or any other single-party event(albeit I'd imagine BRD isn't very good for that event in particular) you simply can't do it. For something like ADL? Sure it's possible, but that's either one more person entering the zone and wasting potential currency, or a potential DD that now has to come BRD. Doubling a party's songs with no additional opportunity cost is extremely valuable, and I really can't see a reasonably better use of upgrade items right now.
I mostly agree. I wasn't really disputing the harp's use in virtually all regular events, just highlighting those 3 events for which a BRD rotation would normally be used anyway. Doubling songs with no additional opportunity cost on ADL is nice, assuming you didn't have available a second BRD who either doesn't farm currency or has a better DD job.
When I had a perfect setup for my Nyzul Isle static back then... I used these jobs.
BLU,SCH,SAM,MNK,BRD,RDM.
If we got white magic restrictions then BLU could main heal and SCH can nuke. On pudding floors, SCH nukes. We had access to dark and light dispels from 3 different jobs. SAM was overpowered with hagun back in the day and could also do overpowered darkness SC's with MNK (mnk was also powerful with lots of haste on in nyzul and pre-footwork nerf that gave back 44%TP after WS). MNK was strong enough to solo floors and survive on kill ALL floors and could survive without utsusemi if ninjitsu got banned on that floor.
To make a long story short, Having 1 BRD being able to give 4 songs in a 6 man group might be the way to make it to floor 100 in the new nyzul isle. You can't rotate brds in nyzul and bringing 1 brd and having 4 songs might make or break the event.
Bring sprint shoes, movement speed shoes, mazurka, temp items and start hauling ass!
The empyrean 99 harp is good for nyzul isle.
Admittedly I haven't stepped foot in Neo-Nyzul, but I'd imagine a BRD wouldn't be ideal unless they're meleeing, and proficient at it.
Even with good -casting gear, getting songs up costs valuable time. I wouldn't be surprised if Dotsudoku is correct.
Don't have to hit lamp for orders anymore. Can sing once per floor and get at least one off before people scatter.
Doesn't change my point. A BRD almost always makes up for themselves even working on just two DDs. They are a force multiplier.
Like I said, I haven't set foot inside yet, but from the discussion of things, wins and losses can be decided by one of your DD engaging too slowly. I'd say any job that requires everyone stand still for several seconds is a liability.
Or you could bring a COR and have them do damage AND buff your party.
Or just bring more blu!!!
