2012 BG NFL Gridiron Challenge

Football season is almost amongst over, and it's time for us to hang on to that last vestige of Fantasy Football, the Gridiron Playoff Challenge! (trumpet sounds go here)

This game is a little different than most fantasy football games, in that you can pick whoever you want, so long as their salaries don't add up to over the cap. Between each round, you change your roster as you desire; again, so long as you don't go over the cap. However, the rosters lock at kickoff of the conference championship games, so you can't change before the Super Bowl.

I don't have the ability to change the scoring system, so if you don't like it, meh.

To enter, you'll need to register on ESPN.com, but you can disable spam e-mails if you're worried about it. All of them do have a grand prize of some sort if you finish first amongst all the thousands upon thousands of entries in the game, so you might want to use real contact information just in case.

Also, please try to incorporate your BG handle somehow into your team name, or at least post in this thread with your super creative team name so we can bestow you with all the accolades and everlasting respect you deserve by becoming the Grand Wizard of BG.

ONE ENTRY PER PERSON. No spamming the group with a bunch of messages in order to try to win with your best of six.

Note: No Benefit to Taking Players from #1 or #2 Seeds

Please note that when creating your initial roster for the Wildcard weekend there is no benefit to taking players from the #1 or #2 seeded teams that will be awarded a bye. Those players' salaries will remain unchanged throughout the opening round of the NFL playoffs and can be added in the Divisional round for the same price. As always, choose wisely and good luck!

Yup. After the wild card rounds and divisional rounds, you can swap out people. Once the conference championship games start, your rosters lock.

I notice the salary cap is a lot tighter than last year. I remember last year that you got more or less whoever you wanted to build a team with. I tried that route this year, and had to start trimming the roster at Kicker, before I even got to Defense. I like this better, although it's certainly tougher.
