Get out asap.
Get out asap.
Yeah get the hell out asap. I'm all for being grateful and never charging your parents anything, but there is no need to keep screwing yourself over just for the hell of it.
1. Throw momma from the train.
2. Burn down house with all the other handicapped you know.
3. Move to Columbia and change your name to Carlos.
You didn't answer my question. Are you white? I bet you are.
Go to jeweler, say your gold is all grimy an' shit, buy some KCN, put it in her Kool-Aid, inherit house, fuck bitches.
Didn't read the whole thing, but get a good job, move out of your house, dump your invalid gf, wish your mom well and start over. If you think any part of your current situation is good, you're wrong.
Start over.
Stop paying rent, sell the car, pay off your mom with half the car profit, buy a new car by yourself, and gtfo.
Literally find the absolute cheapest tiny studio apartment you can find, month-to-month preferable, dump your gf, and move out.
Like everyone else is saying gtfo while you can.1) What do about crazy bipolar guy?
2) What do about my car title?
3) What do about crazy bitch mother/getting my own place?
Less stress/grief = more energy to work at your job to makes moneys.
I live with people who never listen (I say "I told you so" alot 'round here) and an alchoholic man-baby who has the whole basement to himself (I have an epic long story thats still going to this day).
Living in my small room isn't bad during winter though as TV and PS3 heat damn near the whole room.
why the fuck would you move your disabled gf in with your mother, her crazy ex, and your not all there brother?
Because my basement is almost completely cutoff from everyone else. The crazy ex is scared of me, he doesn't come down here but maybe 2-3x the entire time he's lived here, brother rarely comes down and I think my mother only came down twice in the two months my gf was living here, both while we were away.
I like my job, love my girlfriend, but I'll get rid of the rest.
Don't kid yourself, lol. I may have nothing, but your life is way worse than mine, haha.
Would love to know how I'm supposed to go from 6 years of relative unemployment, to 6 months at Pizza Hut, to a much better job, while I have no degree and no connections.
I value electricity, internet and privacy decently high and I still have those things.
Well, from what I know of parents, many are more than willing to give help to their kids... If its only their kid they have to worry about. This guy is obviously attached to his girlfriend and putting a mattress down in his father's house means the disabled girlfriend is going to spend all her time at the father's house. Moreover, there's the problem of the dad probably thinking that if OP has lived with his mom all this time, eventually, the OP will end up with with him for quite a lengthy amount of time as well.
My question to the OP is this:
If you agreed to pay rent to your mother, and you agreed to pay double rent to move your girlfriend into the house, why didn't you have the common sense to just go out and rent your own apartment in the first place? Go to your local grocery store, pick up one of those ForRent apartment booklets and start looking at places. Now.
I agree with the other guys in the thread - your attachments to the people in your life are what's bringing you down. However, you're gonna do what you're gonna do, so I won't suggest dumping your gf or whatever - just remember that number one comes first.
Also, the car is in your name. Go and take it. Get some insurance. Change the locks if you want to. Your mom can't do shit. Having your car now and being able to use it to get from place to place, and if necessary - to live in when you don't have a place of your own, is more valuable than possibly inheriting your mom's house way down the line, which will probably go to your mom's crazy boyfriend anyway.
And lastly, if your girlfriend is going to live with you, make sure she contributes to the household in some manner. You can love her all you want, but she's more or less getting a free ride as it is. This does not necessarily mean she has to get a job if you can afford to support both of you, but she better be at it with the paper and clipping like those housewives on Extreme Couponing or some shit at least.
Well, my dad lives with his girlfriend, I ideally wanted to pay rent and take over bills on his condo, but turns out he's putting some nice shit in there and trying to sell it for twice what he bought it for. For the last few years his condo has just sat there doing nothing since he lived with his girlfriend, he let his girlfriends daughter move in for a bit of time, and apparently she threw parties there and helped contribute to it being "uninhabitable". I'm not a party-throwing person, so that wouldn't be a concern with me.
Rent with my mother is only $300/month, which includes cell phone, insurance and utilities, so...it's almost nothing, I pretty much just pay my costs and slightly more and get access to the entire basement (bedroom, large living room, bathroom, small back closet/guest room, a couple closets). I offered to pay $600/month for me and my girlfriend, which means my mother makes a bit more money on it since I doubt my girlfriend costs more than an extra $50 in utilities and has a cell phone through a friend. My mother said $600 was too much, $500 is fine, though, so I've been paying that. That's still a lot cheaper than somewhere else. Looking into it and $800/month is the cheapest apartment I could find, and that's in a sketchy side of town (for the area) and doesn't include utilities. I can barely afford that alone. I have no friends needing a place in the area, so if I were to move out financially I should find someone to share rent with and that'd be just some random person, and then things can be manageable. But looking into it I can get a 2 bedroom place for something like $625/month mortgage/taxes/insurance, so the best bet for me is to have a down payment and/or a friend, and get my own place. I've been working on this for a bit, and have a friend moving to the area Feb 1st, but he'll spend a month or two living with a relative saving up some money on his own.
I know where my mother keeps the spare key to my car, so I can just take that and all is well.
My girlfriend at minimum cleans up after me, when I got my wisdom teeth out, she was getting me food/drink and getting angry at me if I ever did something for myself. She's attempting to get on disability, that alone could make getting a place much easier. And the couponing thing I will have her work on once I actually buy more food on my own, though we've already spoken about the issue a bit. I work at Pizza Hut, and am currently just a fatass, so I eat there a LOT, which is free food.
Where do you live again?
