Not really the point. You can always start out small at a community college. Take an assessment, get placed in math, then take that class, and take your English class. That's all you need to do to get started and that's half-time in one semester. Physically incapable of what kind of work, exactly? Standing up for six hours a day flipping burgers I can understand. What about answering phones, filing paperwork or data entry? You're not going to tell me she can't be on a computer at all, are you? A good start for her could be, besides the school thing (which accommodates for disabilities), would be to look at one of the local employment agencies to see if they can set her up with something that can accommodate her disability.
Your boss is shady as shit if you were on the job and got into a car accident and your boss told you not to claim with the company. You're also operating under the assumption that you'll become a GM after two years of work but that's entirely contingent upon whether or not your boss (who is your GM) quits or gets fired from his job in the first place, which could take ten for all you know.
Better to keep your options open. Work on the fatass thing, bookmark Craigslist job and housing pages and make them your friend for the next few weeks.
