There's no way for me not to make that sound like a scam, but this is actually through your state's treasury department. Go to whatever state in which you have ever lived, enter your name, see if you have any unclaimed funds or property. I didn't find anything for myself, but I did for a couple of my friends. One amounted to $3.84, but still.
