    Urns for Dogs/pets.

So next week we're going to say goodbye to our first kid and best friend. My fiancee has been trying to find an urn but the cheapest one we can find is around $300.00 which is severely out of our range since I'm currently not working.

I was wondering since BG is heavy with pet owners. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy?

    Also pics just because

Awww I'm so sorry, everytime we have a pet pass we always get an urn for them. Not sure how much exactly they cost but if I remember correctly it was around 100-150$

Just a quick google search shows that walmart sells them for under 100$

and there is this place - http://www.perfectmemorials.com/pet-urns/ - with tons of options well under 300$

My vet does this for me, they take care of the cremation and bring it back in an urn. They only have like 2 choices, but I'm not particularly concerned about fancy urn decorations.

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

I never did the urn thing (think I couldn't handle the constant reminder of them being there) but wanted to say sorry, looks like a really sweet dog.

My condolences. I never did an urn, but I did bury our first cat up on the hill on the corner of our 1.5-ish mile property. He'd want to keep keeping an eye on the place and people he loved so much.

I appreciate the responses, its going to take a toll on me and my fiancee for some time. At least she's not currently in severe pain/organ failure/etc. Which is our goal since we would never want an animal to reach that point.

And no, we don't have any local pottery shops within 60 miles sadly. My fiancee was wanting one made of a durable material with a sturdy base since it will be a top our main living room shelf.

Duuude I thought this was for the puppy in the first pics. We had to put a kitten to sleep last year due to FIV. (cat AIDS) So small, sick pets makes me a sad panda. Glad she had the chance to grow up and live a good life with you guys though. Such a beautiful dog, my condolences.

How much does cremation run for small dogs? We have a 15ish yr old poodle who cant hear anymore, and is losing his vision. He can no longer get up and down the steps to go outside and pee, and we have to put a diaper on him at night. Hes not suffering or in any pain whatsoever, but his time is almost here. We've never cremated before, but hes easily the best pet we've ever owned and obviously has lived the longest.

When our family dog died some years back we weren't interested in a fancy polished urn or anything, always felt urns were kind of morbid aside from being not very attractive to look at.

My mom and I just went around to local craft shops looking for any kind of container that we liked and eventually found a nice small wooden box, nice finish, appealing but subtle decoration and chose that. I don't think it cost more than 20$.

To us it was more important to choose something personal than a fancy/expensive urn just because they're considered the norm.

I've always liked the idea of having ashes suspended in glass artwork, but that's rather expensive, and you'd need to find a glass blower, etc.

Fuck the god damn statistics on length of life. I'm not gonna bury my cat, my cat is gonna bury me!

Sorry for your loss, looks like a really sweet dog from the pics.
