This also applies to HONG KONG TV (which we actually have a special satellite dish/subscription for). TV/Movie actresses set the bar incredibly high as well (all actresses are more or less ex-Miss Hong winners/runners up), making it so that if you go to Hong Kong and go down the streets a significant amount of woman will be ugly in comparison.

I think for me the main difference has always been facial structure, mainly lips and noses. There's a broad spectrum of nose shape and lip size, but some of the larger broader noses with the more prominent nostrils are simply not attractive to me. Larger lips become less and less attractive the bigger they get (for me personally). The black woman below is attractive:

as for the so-called "ghetto" aspect, I don't care how much money you have or even how you talk (to an extent) but it's the way you talk

if ghetto means having lots of attitude, swearing and sucking teeth at everything, and hair pulling like on talk shows, then believe me, that is ugly in any culture -- lord knows we've seen a lot of blurred out fat white girls whose shirts got torn while fighting with some other baby momma

but if ghetto simply means coming from government housing or low income residential neighbourhoods, then who cares? I know I don't since I'd be a big hypocrite having grown up with very little. so, no "ghetto" is not a "black" thing and that's not the factor

over the years I've noticed my general disinterest in black women, and to be honest, I find it easier to be attracted to fairer skinned black women. I've been concerned it's some kind of racism, as that is not coinciding with my ideals, but I have certainly found myself attracted to asian women, east indian women, native women, arabic women etc. So what I've largely concluded s it must be a facial structure kind of thing. I recognize asian women have noses that start to resemble black women's noses and that asian women's eyes differ from the more open lidded rest of the majority of women, however the eyes I do find attractive, and the noses tend to have less visible nostrils from the front, whereas extreme cases of black women's noses appaear as though I could poke my finger in from the front unresisted. I'm sure that must sound terribly rude, but it is just.. alot of nostril for me

obviously this is a delicate topic, and I'm trying to be informative. Sure people joke in a callous way, but I have put some serious thought into it over the years as it hasn't sit well with me but this has largely been my conclusion

after thinking about it and replying here today I remembered something that has gone unaddressed in my mind: the idea that black women's skin isn't as smooth as other women's. I know that many black women use Keri lotion etc, but is there any basis for this? or have I stumbled on an unaddressed negative stereotype floating around in my head?
