My sister(who is a bit of a headcase) refused to give her sons names that were more than two syllables or could be shortened(like Daniel or David.) It ended being Adam James and Ethan Cain. Hopefully when my wife gets pregnant(and it's a boy fingers crossed) it will be Noah James. James was my father's name.

This is absolutely absurd and you and my wife should feel bad for saying "Oh my god, it's 35th on the list top top 20,000 names, AVOID AT ALL COSTS". The "it's too popular" excuse is washed out.
