    Scene description;

    Spoiler: show
We are writing to let you know about some filming about to be undertaken in Bourne Wood in the coming months. Please find a brief overview and introduction to this project.

"Thursday Mourning" is the working title of a major feature film. It is comic book adaptation set in another "fictional realm".

We will be establishing a fictional village set in another realm, with yurts and village like dressing in the bowl. The sequence involves a battle between two kingdoms, ending in our comic book hero arriving to save the day. The sequence will involve a substantial amount of Stunts and controlled special effects all within the hours 0700 - 1900hrs.

We plan to use most of the areas that are usually occupied by film units for all our support vehicles. The sequence will involve approximately 300 extras who will arrive in the early hours prior to call time to go through costume and makeup.

Mads was confirmed to be out of this now a week or 2 ago, much to my disappointment. I think he's a very under utilized actor. Think it was because of Hannibal TV show.

    Casting new from Deadline
    Spoiler: show
Christopher Eccleston has been set for the villain role in Marvel Studios’ Thor: The Dark World, starring opposite Chris Hemsworth in the role of Malekith The Accursed. If you don’t know who Malekith is, your Hall H privileges at Comic-Con are officially suspended. He is a super-villain in the Marvel Universe, the ruler of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim. In the Marvel Comics, he clashed mightily with Thor, and will go up against the hammer-wielding god of Odin in the film directed by Game of Thrones‘ Alan Taylor. He once wielded the Casket of Ancient Winters. We know Eccleston from Doctor Who, and he is repped by Principal Entertainment.

Alice Krige, whose best known for her role as the Borg Queen in Star Trek: First Contact, has been cast in a small role in Marvel's Thor: The Dark World. The actress revealed that she would be in the movie while at the Star Trek convention in Las Vegas this weekend. She didn't mention who she would be playing in the film, but according to CBM she did say that she may not be recognizable in the film.

The actress joins the recently cast Christopher Eccleston as Malekith the Accursed. As well as original cast members Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Natalie Portman as Jane Foster and a few other familiar and new faces.

The story follows the God of Thunder to The Nine Realms beyond Asgard and earth. And as his evil half-brother, Loki, returns for Asgardian justice, a new threat rises. Also rejoining Thor are his fellow Asgardians, Lady Sif, gatekeeper Heimdall and Warriors Three, as they encounter mythical Norse creatures among evildoers.

Kat Dennings is officialy set to reprise her role as Darcy Lewis in Thor: The Dark World. According to Deadline her role has even been expanded. So she'll have more screen time, and be a little bit more than Natalie Portman's comic relief.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been cast as one of the lead villains in Marvel's Alan Taylor-directed Thor: The Dark World. He will take on the dual roles of Algrim the Strong and Kurse.

Algrim the Strong was the most powerful of a race of Dark Elves, who is coerced by Malekith to fight Thor. After he's betrayed by Malekith and injured during a battle, Algrim is healed and transformed into a much more powerful being called Kurse, who is twice as a strong as Thor.

Akinnuoye-Agbaje has had small roles in several films such as G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra, The Thing, The Bourne Identity, Unstoppable, but he's probably best known for playing Mr. Eko on LOST.

    Rumor

Another Marvel movie rumor has been unleashed on the internet. It's interesting to see how these things start, especially when there are no real sources to the information, but it doesn't mean they aren't true, and this is one of those rumors I'd love to be true!

The latest rumor originated at The Playlist who claims that Doctor Stephen Strange will play a role in Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World. It's not the most far out rumor, but one I would take with a grain of salt until some more proof comes to light.

    Rumor

There's a big rumor that's hit the internet that might be a major spoiler if it turns out to be true. Apparently there's a chance that a major character in Thor: The Dark World will die. If you don't want to know who that character is then I suggest you don't read any further.

    Spoiler: show
According to Bleeding Cool, "a couple of good sources" are saying that a big character might end up being killed off in the film before the end credits roll. One of the sources says that they are “pretty sure” that Anthony Hopkin's Odin won't survive.

There's some evidence that points to this rumor being true. Odin has died three times in defense of Asgard in the comics. On the first occasion, Odin is killed by Mangog, but is later revived by the goddess of Death Hela to prevent Pluto from claiming him. The second time, the Celestials melt the Destroyer, which at the time holds the life force of Odin and all Asgardians with the exception of Thor. Thor collects a portion of godly energy from each pantheon and uses it to revive Odin, who in turn resurrects all of the Asgardians. The last occasion of death involves a massive battle against the villain Surtur on Earth, this one includes Odin dying once and for all, as the Odin Force, the source of Odin's power, migrates to Thor. Thor believes Odin may be permanently dead this time. The Odin Force appears to him in humanoid form and says that this was Odin's plan all along: that he breaks the cycle.

So, it not out of the question that Odin could die. I guess what has yet to be seen is if Odin will be brought back to life or remain dead. I guess it all depends on if Hopkins wants to reprise the role or not, because you can't replace Hopkins.

For those of you like me who were hoping that the rumor about Viggo Mortensen playing Doctor Strange was true, I'm sorry to let you know that it's not happening. Another recent rumor says that Strange might make his first appearance in Thor: The Dark World, which has not been denied.

Marvel producer Victoria Alonso recently did an interview with Omelete, and here's what she said about the whole Mortensen thing,

We would love to work with Viggo Mortensen. I've been trying that for years. But I don't know if Viggo is even acting anymore. I thought he wasn’t acting anymore. It would be great to work with him in the future, but we don’t have him signed, no.
She must not watch many movies or keep updated on what going on these days in Hollywood, because Mortensen has definitely not retired.

A script for a Doctor Strange movie was already completed and turned into the studio by writers Thomas Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer (Conan the Barbarian, Sahara), and apparently Marvel Studios is still actively searching for a director to take on the project.
