Yes! My electric kettle is the best thing I ever bought.
Yes! I have a stove top kettle. It takes forever to boil but hey, at least it gets the job done.
No! But I'd like one, because they're bloody convenient!
No! I use a microwave to heat water, which is fine for me.
No! What the fuck would you use a kettle for?
Putting coffee or tea into a microwave or boiling water using one was a completely foreign concept to me until about a year ago when a friend's mom did it and I was completely bewildered by it.
Though I will say Iced Tea seems to be an American thing, and it is pretty damn ballin' when it is not over sweetened.
Sweet tea in the south is a big thing, apparently.
Big, that is.
Sweet tea is iced tea with even more sugar than I want.
How to make awesome iced tea:
Boil your kettle. I dgaf if you don't have one. If you don't have one, you should go get one.
Get some jasmine tea. Leaf tea, preferably. Put it in a teapot or a large jug that won't break if you pour boiling water into it. For about 1.5L of water, put in 5 tsp of tea. Leave it to steep for about 5 mins. Remove the tea leaves. You used a tea ball, right? sucks to be you if you didn't.
Add about 1/4 cup of white sugar and stir to dissolve. You can add more to taste, but I think 1/4c was the magic number for when I made it.
Stick it in the fridge.
Drink when cool.
And that's about as close as you can get to Yeo's Iced Jasmine Tea which is my favourite ever but which I can't find outside Australia![]()

Arizona iced teas are cheaper than bottled water.
I hope so, then I could make my own very easily.
I love my electric kettle. It's a POS but it gets the job done for tea or coffee.
