glasses are glasses, there is only so much you do with them construction wise, its all materials nowadays. No R&D going into them. Think about cost to manufacture vs. what they sell them for. It's all just a few pieces of plastic, metal, etc. except for maybe the ones that change from shades to eyeglasses

No one can disagree that some glasses are far more expensive then what it costs to manufacture, but to insinuate that bargain bin sunglasses from 7/11 are not much different then sunglasses from oakleys is laughable.

Are they worth the premium? Depends on the person. But damn there is a big difference when you put on a pair of premium sunglasses.

I stopped buying semi-expensive sunglasses because I used to misplace them or lose them back when I was a stoner so I put an end to it pretty quickly. Now that I buy cheap cheap glasses and I seem to never lose them. anyway there are differences to say there is not is ridiculous, shit there are differences in quality in the lenses alone between different pairs of $10 glasses. Like Salodin said it all comes down to is the premium worth it to you, to some it is.
