For Bst, and saying your using local pets and not jugs, just put the pet on mob wherever it is, and then Leave the pet and recharm it or get a new one. The mob you initially put the pet on will come after you while the link will de-aggro. Smn I believe you can let the avatar die or Release it, same mechanic.

The only pet job I have is pup. I tried to pull a TE statue in dynamis with deploy -> deactivate, but it didn't work, and I ended up with the whole goblin camp on me. Not sure if it's dynamis linking properties that messed it up or deactivate.

It's not dynamis not sure if it's deactivate. I let my jugs die on stuff all the time and only the thing I took action on comes to me. However if you are close enough for the mob to normal aggro you when you dismiss pets then it's fully aggroed you and things will link. That's why /smn pet pulling is sometimes problematic since they pets can die so fast

Has anyone confirmed that the effect you gain from aura steal is equivalent to the functional bonus (EX: +25% ATT) as opposed the constant bonus (EX: +50 ATT)? Discussing this with Radec, he notes the JoL 999ATT boost, which the latter would explain. If it turned out that the latter was the case, we could use this to gain a ton of information about mobs.

JOL doesn't give a 999 atk boost, it makes your next attack do 4x(I think 4, needs confirmation) damage. I can test this tomorrow in dynamis though, I normally fight snolls and regularly steal the berserk, which seems to function like normal berserk afaik.

Ah, he did follow up with that but I assumed he meant that it showed 999ATT and you received the multiplier. Still leaves the question up for further investigation though.

Should be easy to test on a low level crawler or crab actually, I'll go test this now.

Just tested, scissor guard from a snipper in the dunes just doubled my defense.

Is Regain on Moonshade any good these days? I was thinkin regain/TPB as a generic earring for my DDs, but I'm unsure if I'd just be better doing attk/tpb instead. Specifically for MNK and WAR.

TPBonus will enhance your jobs a lot more than a regain earring.

You can't have Regain and TP Bonus on the same earring. TP Bonus is going to be better.

Has anyone done the rockhopper quest to get augmented Jupiter rings lately? I been clapping around for about close to 20 min and still cant find it. Does anyone have any tricks they want to share for this quest?

That quest took me a good while even with radar.. I'm not sure I understand it.

How? I recently finished WotG and, while easy, I can't see how a BLM or RDM can solo it.
