Hecatomb+1 with crit+4 augments inside I believe when BR is down.
Can someone please tell me how to set DrawDistance to 5.0 at launch? I've had to manually set it to 5.0 with ALT + F10 every single time I login since forever. Would like to have it set to 5.0 from the start.
Also, can the same thing be done with ToggleLighting? I'd like to have the lighting provided by Windower off so it looks as it does default without having to hit F11 every time I launch.
Thanks. I'll give it a try. Anyone know how to set Toggle Lighting to default on startup?
Afflictor skill ups on pup, how does this work? What do I need? Sounds faster than engaging worms in aby for 2 hours at a time.
Should be a gamma setting in the init.txt. Your definition of default will vary, but I tend to set it between 50 and 60. Higher the number, brighter it gets. Usually do 60 in shitty areas like Oubliette where visibility sucks and not seeing the drop down tiles can screw you.
It's at 55 by default. However, my question is this:
When I click Play and Windower loads all the plugins, the Toggle Lighting is set to on by default. I don't care for the extra lighting effect that comes turned in with Windower by default. Therefore, I have to press F11 every single time I play the game. I would like to set up Windower so that it doesn't have the additional lighting on when I load the game. I prefer the old lighting (no Toggle Lighting effect). Is their a way to do this? I don't know what the default values are within FFXI.
I hope that clears up my question. I basically don't want to have to press F11 every single time I play the game.
Looking at my init.txt, I have the following:
I assume the forceambientlight is binary, thus 0 or 1. The next two may be what you're looking for specifically, with I'm guessing the 255 being black to white from 0-255 while the next three are RGB values. I'm going to assuming typing "ambientlight # # # #" in console will tweak things, that way you're not constantly restarting.game_forceambientlight 0
//game_ambientlight 255 130 120 150
game_ambientlight 255 120 120 120
game_gamma 50
Also re: drawdistance - it resets to 1 when you're on the title screen, so can't set it by default in init.
If you have a file you run for each job's macros (exec blmbind.txt: bind ^1 stone, bind ^2 water etc) you can add it to each one, and when you load the binds it'll adjust drawdistance.
At a 95 Yoichi on SAM, Apex will almost always do more dmg per WS. However, skillchains account for a fair amount of Yoichi SAM's dmg, and Namas is far better in that sense. Stardiver to Apex gives you Frag, where Namas to Namas gives Light and Namas + Stardiver gives you Darkness either way. (As an aside, you need both to do mutli part skillchains effectively without resorting to weak WSs)
At 99, Namas will usually do better on lower end mobs when both fired at low TP values. If lots of TP overflow, Apex will edge it out, since TP overflow does nothing for Namas.
Thanks for the replies. I set game_forceambientlight from one to 0. As for the autoexec DrawDistance fix, it didn't work. I'll just continue to set it each time I load the game.
Having a clusterfuck of a headache trying to get this game to run on my fiance's machine. We had it running just fine from a torrented copy of the game, but the expansions were not included. Couldn't figure out how to install them properly, so we just bought it off steam.
Now the game wont load at all. POL runs fine, but when it fires up the windowed game, it crashes. Any suggestions? I've made sure that "enabled windower is on" in the POL config, the XI config, and windower. It crashes with and without the windower.
I'm starting to feel its because of the actual version Steam gives you. She is running Win 7, on a new XPS. The drivers are up to date, and the optimus is set to run off the video card during game time.
