Nothing in abyssea is magic resistant enough to a lvl99 the macc from ultimate is worth a damn, and MP is near-infinite, not entirely infinite.

Bah thought I could finally upgrade to Thunder magic on RDM since I just got PW's atma yesterdsy, been casting Blizzard magic since 90 cap in Abyssea. At least I can swap out Ultimate for HG and no suffer that huge MP penalty though.

Two people to deal with lamps (PLD and RDM work fine, BLU/RDM probably would too) and then a WHM or two and DD (doesn't really matter which) to kill PW. Add a SMN for PD and a BRD or SCH if you want to make the final form easier.

Oh and I suppose a THF helps.

Any other specifics? I haven't done the fight in a very very long time. Specific phases of PW or things to watch for would be helpful thanks.

Erase cackle, stun fulmination. Troll's 100fists is still relatively painful, pdt and bully it. Medusa EES's, that can hurt too.

Chariots are <60sec fights - discoid can still hurt, but with barblizzard, para/bind almost never land - mages can move in to reduce the damage on discoid.

PLD Flashes/Vokes the chair-form PW between forms to supertank lamps - as such, smn can't release/let avatar die or they'll go kill the smn.

Use MV, Altanaviewer, or (I THINK) FFXIAH (The URL of the item's page). They will typically list the ROM, Folder within ROM folder, and then the DAT number. You then just rename the existing DAT to .BAK and copy the Ukon DAT into the folder and rename to the number of the .BAK file (But save it as a DAT).

Seems the items_general.xml is missing the info for forgotten items now. I was able to add these lines and then reload the plugin to get it to work again.

Add this to statusdata.txt in your plugins folder (or create the file). I'm assuming that you meant Finishing Moves and not Flourish.

umm ok i made that file but when i reloaded statustimer it reset my pc, status.xml instead? nvm i give up tried to redownload plugin so it make file in right spot but unloading/reloading ST just crashes my pc.

Did it pld/war(ochain) rdm/thf. Was easy, but with constant hate reset the rdm would take a few hits from time to time. Then switched to Mnk/war Whm/thf and was much much smoother. Was able to get hate back quickly after hate reset. Just save perfect counter for after mega scissors just to be safe.

A couple of bst questions:

1. How does jug pet level work with/without relic gloves? Is there always a chance the pet could spawn below 99 without relic +2?

2. Are the any pets worth meriting beast affinity for?

3. Which pets have meaningful amounts of elemental resistance, and to what? Besides dipper vs. wind, and slug vs. water.

I run into pretty much the same thing with statusdata.txt even though I'm pretty sure I am doing everything the way it should be done. I've pretty much given up on it at this point.
