What I understand from browsing a lot of Beastmaster testing threads:

1. They'll be 0-2 levels below you with no gloves. 0-1 levels below you with normal or +1 Monster gloves. 0 levels below you with Monster Gloves +2. The chance is always there regardless of the pet's level cap.

2. It depends on how much you like the other merit options. Keeping in mind that Killer Instinct and Feral Howl are soon going to be fuckdamn awesome in some situations and suck noticeably less respectively, and that you have a level 99 pet from every family without Beast Affinity merits, I'd say no.

Your love for sheep and hatred for Feral Howl may exceed my own, however. Also, some of the 90-95 capped pets may turn out to have useful elemental resistances if anybody ever gets around to trying them.

3. The bird-cat-thing-that-I-can-not-spell resists Fire, the giant turtle resists Thunder, the relatively giant fungus frog resists Darkness, and there are possibly some others that aren't as well documented or that I just can't remember. My jug pets are probably going to dump me for forgetting their names.

What atma and specific gear setup do you use to achieve over 4k DMG with this WS? my torcleaver is averaging around 2.5-3k at the moment.

every time i play ffxi, windower is forcing my overlay resolution down to 640x800. i log out, reset it to 1920x1080 where i want it, but soon as i log in through windower it goes back down. any ideas whats wrong?

I tried to 2box Lugh Whm+Thf at 95. His accuracy was insane. Even with full evasion gear (like 650ish evasion?) he hit me a lot. He also has some sort of mad regen or something because by the time I died he was still like 95%. And I was alive long enough to expend my mule's MP completely.

Well this sounds not so promising. I guess I'll try and round up some people tonight and take a stab at him. I appreciate the info.

I've heard rumblings of bannings pertaining to fish botters and RMT cleaves over the past 12 or so hours aligning with the search function/AH issues. Anyone have any SS's or first hand knowledge of this?

I just got temp banned in a 3 day fell cleave party on Fenrir about a 30 min before the search function went down, but unfortunately i forgot to SS the conversation with the gm in jail -.-;; He did take all my cruor and gil off my character so I'm pretty pissed off about that.

Seriously? That seems pretty unprecedented. Selling services for Gil is ye olde and it's not as though you control what they do with their Gil.

Any chance you run logger? I'm interested in what the GM had to say.

No I was on xbox. But the whole alliance was afk and it was just 1 or 2 ppl operating like clockwork. We managed to build up almost 40,000 minutes in the zone. For what I lost, i think it was about 5 mil gil and about 12 mil in cruor ><

I think I parked my character like 4 days ago and the cleaver took shifts with someone and ran the thing like clockwork. While in jail GM asked me why I was building so much cruor in the first place and I just said I needed it for brews and whatnot. But he banned me on the grounds I was using 3rd party tools (whu? -.-) so I dunno if I was tied to the cleaver or not. I heard a friend was also banned same time as I was in La thiene worm group (he says they were all curebotting) but I'll ask him if he can post about it here too.

we've had shouts like that on shiva going on since i came back. people shouting offering 10 hours of exp for 900k, 100k/hr. Not suprised this went down the way it did.
