There are a lot of scam and not-so-good cleave shouts out there along with the good ones. Would it be a good idea to start a sticky'ed white/black list thread in the player warning section so we can all get on the same page as for whom to avoid?

Take answer your question, blacklist is ok but whitelist is not. BG does not endorse PTs with the potential to ban people.

When mobs hate reset, especially 1's in Tahrongi Aby, is it a reset on everyone's hate reset or just the main target (usually the DD)? I ask because it seems silly that after a hate reset it always goes for a mage afterwards even if it hasn't performed an action in 10 seconds.

In my experience usually the white mage ends up second on the hate list because everyone is holding back on feeding TP to prevent the mob from doing TP moves which make it difficult to proc. The cure IVs and VIs when your cure V recast is down really add up over time. Our solution has been to have a THF just put on max subtle blow gear and melee and SA to get treasure hunter and to keep high up on the hate list for hate resets. That way the mob doesn't run all over the place and wreak havoc.

When did Gelzerio in Bastok Mines stop selling Silver Belts (plus Swordbelts)? You used to be able to buy them from him which was a lazy way of doing GP but looking at his stock now and he doesn't have any. Wiki and AH.com both say he should sell them too.

Now I'll have to be not lazy and craft them myself =/

Trying to change to Windurst in the past and the NPC keeps telling me "You cannot pledge your allegiance to one nation while undertaking initiation procedures of another. Withdraw your current application before attempting to transfer."
I have a new medal seal, I've completed WotG, I have no current Campaign Ops, so I have no idea what I need to do, anyone know?

The Den of Rancor is where I did several of my slime trials. You have to dodge bats most of the time and hecteyes in a few places, but has the most slimes per square inch that I know of.

I actually wasted a dynamis run on slime pets right where you enter in dyna-jeuno. Was done super-fast.

How does Trueflight work for brewing?

Not really a question, but someone needs to correct BG Wiki regarding the skill up food. Saltena and Elshena have their places reversed. Saltena is clearly the lowest skill level food. Elshena is the next one. This is further evidenced by their crafting level requirements.

Found that the hard way after wasting half a stack of saltena to get barely any skill ups post 200 on DC.

Soloable by BST.

Lowest I've done it with is 2 THF and a 2boxed WHM, and just ignored the pets.
You definitely need 2 melee though incase of Charm if you're not taking the BST route.

I actually wasted a dynamis run on slime pets right where you enter in dyna-jeuno. Was done super-fast.

Dynamis is possibly the best place to do the darkness-type weather slime trial (although it is a waste of potential gil), but there are several staff trials that require you to kill slimes with elemental damage (thunder), status ailment (ice), or a specific avatar (Fenrir).

Caedarva Mire in the winter months is almost always rainy, there are two slimes near the Karakul area (J-8 on the first map), and two more near where you get the Lamia Fang Key (I-7 on the first map but you must be wary of aggro). While not as good as Dynamis, it won't waste a run or time in a run where you would otherwise get currency.

Also, were you fighting mobs that were appropriate comparatively to the level of skill? I have found that has a pretty strong effect on skill ups also.

Second this, you can only do 1 trial per RL day obviously, but well worth it compared to hunting for weather.

Hunt no longer! But really, if you check out the weather from 1107, it shows that the game months from late November to early February has a lot of rain.

Job specific merits for cor? I already know to 5/5 qd recast but im a wee unsure as to what i should pick for the rest. I already unlocked fold/snake eyes and i'm leaning towards random deal related merits since i can theoretically reset fold/snake eyes but it's always nice to get some input.

They love their secrets... it's also what keeps a private server from functioning.

Anyway, I believe I was doing the appropriate mobs. Was skilling up weapons for maat fight on robber crabs and sand lizards in kuftal.

Collaborator and a weapon skill usually works.

Hate resets are usually single target.

Those are the old lower resolution ones unfortunately.

Granted I don't even know what some of those icons were for, if they were even used. (ex. the one beside ?, the ball beside mentor, the note...)
