What gear does a stoneskin set for BLM consist of? Haven't used mine for years and about the only MND piece I have on me atm is Heka's Kalasiris.
300 Enhancing (cap for BLM) and 80 MND caps Stoneskin, so you're probably capping naked or only a few points short if Taru (in which case Heka's would be more than enough). Stoneskin enhancing gear would be the thing to stack in midcast, precast whatever Fast Cast, -enhancing cast time (Siegel Sash) and -stoneskin cast time (Carapacho Cuffs) gear you have on you.
Alrighty, thanks!
Rubeus Bandeau is best nuking head? I don't have my af3 hands +2 yet. So 3/5 set plus Eradico Mitts and Rubeus Bandeau?
Dumb, dumb question - QA > TA > DA proc order or DA > TA > QA? I can swear it's QA > TA > DA but having trouble finding the evidence (though I definitely remember reading it!) - the order is important.
QA > TA > DA. Testing (or at least reporting of the testing) was in a thf thread on alla that I made when there was tentative evidence for it going the other way. Well, testing was TA>DA; QA>TA is assumed.
Can Pterygotus in Nashmau break your rod if you're using a composite fishing rod?
Thank you for the very prompt response!
Leading on, assuming that multiattack weapons have an average attacks/round of x where x > 1 in decimal form (eg 1.45 for OaT), and that average attacks/round from DA/TA/QA is y using the same format, is the resulting average attacks per round x * y or do they compound in some other way?
I ask simply because Ridill was given as 30/50/20 distribution back when DA > TA was assumed - but presumably things haven't changed in the meantime and that distribution was measured, giving it a real distribution of about 17/63/20~ if my math is correct. I then thought about adding Warrior DA as an exercise, but that would give you negative single attack rounds...
EDIT: No, my logic must be wrong. It can't be this simple just through consideration of boundary cases. Is it that one procs only when the other doesn't?
Windower scripts related to logitech 18-gkeys: how do I input it in a way that I can activate passall on an alt without alt tabbing? I put in:
alias m1g4 input /console ll passall
but it wouldn't work.
Best non-WF gun for ranger?
Tried Impact on Chamrosh and took a 1.7k Impact. I'll probably need shell + Diffusion Saline Coat to take that hit with the gimp BLM gear I use on the test server. If anyone is interested in a planned run, I'm down. Trying a on-the-go run took too much time to get that result.
I'm not sure how DA>TA vs TA>DA would affect the measurement of Ridill's proc rate. It doesn't have Triple Attack on it, it has Occasionally Attacks 3 Times, which is an entirely different measure.
You calculate the overall distribution rate by taking the probability of the event happening (eg: 45% for OAT) and multiplying that by the remaining chances of a multi-attack after all higher priority events have been handled.
So: 10% TA, 20% DA and 45% OAT means:
10% chance of TA = 10% * 1.00 = 0.1 * 3; remove 0.1 from remaining chances
20% chance of DA = 20% * 0.9 = 0.18 * 2; remove 0.18 from remaining chances
45% chance of OAT = 45% * 0.72 = 0.324 * 2; remove 0.324 from remaining chances
0.396 remaining @ 1 hit
Overall x-hit distribution:
1: 0.396
2: 0.504
3: 0.100
Average hits per round: 1.704
In the case of multiattack weapons with multiple possible procs (eg: Ridill), current non-conclusive evidence suggests that there's a 'chance' for an OAx proc (eg: 70% for Ridill), and that that proc is then divided among all the possible values (so of the ~70% OAx procs on a Ridill, ~70% are OA2 and ~30% are OA3).
So a Ridill with 0% DA would go:
70% chance of OAx = 70% * 1.00 = 0.7
-- 70% chance of OA2 = 0.7 * 0.7 = 0.49
-- 30% chance of OA3 = 0.7 * 0.3 = 0.21
0.3 remaining @ 1 hit
Overall x-hit distribution:
1: 0.300
2: 0.490
3: 0.210
While a Ridill with 20% DA would go:
20% chance of DA = 20% * 1.0 = 0.2; remove 0.2 from remaining chances
70% chance of OAx = 70% * 0.8 = 0.56
-- 70% chance of OA2 = 0.56 * 0.7 = 0.392
-- 30% chance of OA3 = 0.56 * 0.3 = 0.168
0.24 remaining @ 1 hit
Overall x-hit distribution:
1: 0.240
2: 0.592
3: 0.168
