    Hahahahahaha.

    Sorry, let me contribute:

If you mean solo or dual-box, you're going to have issues. They are all mixed up, a couple hallways have just /ja and /ws mobs, but not enough to support a decent farming cycle, they won't respawn fast enough.

TE are lousy placement....you could sack pull most of them if you have two accounts though.

A colibri-style farm party could just run in circles though...burn through the magic job, sleep the avatars, use your /ja and /ws procs like normal. Just run in a circle around Heaven's Tower. I went with 9 the other day, getting win and relic dagger, we farmed about 250 currency this way, along with taking the time to get win.

If you hoping to do windy just to focus on whiteshell, it's probably the wrong strategy (based on my experience).

If you farming AF or base weapons, then well, yah, you gotta go.

I always just ran around the 3 NMs and killed them on repop while aiming for the JA mobs in between. Had to do windy a few times for weapons/trials and ended up with a decent number of 100s.

Any site could potentially be hacked (even BG was, once.) You'll just have to judge whether functionality or security is more important to you. For ffxiah, enabling ffxiah.com and googleapis.com will make the auto-complete work.

I was assuming 8/8 merits for the enhancing set I posted, sorry to not make it clear. Also, as stated before, AF3+2 gloves are too good to pass for 5 enhancing skill, so Augur gloves are out of the question (I mean, if possible, which it is).

If you're not getting anywhere near the 500 skill then it's just important to hit 420 skill for Embrava. At this point you'll cap magical haste with Embrava + haste spell. Anything between that and 500 is just extra regen.

Edit: I assume Embrava counts towards magical haste cap. Can't find anything that says either way.

Have no idea how Twilight compares to AF3 head, but I'm guessing AF3 wins if you're using that instead?
Wasn't expecting Windbuffet to beat Warwolf, but I guess I was wrong.
Finally, how come the choice of Claymore Grip when not using a Crit WS? I thought Pole Grip was better?

For PUP, from what I've read, the new optimal merits are 5/5 ranged, and 5/5 melee. Unlike the 75 cap, there are no longer additional spells that can be unlocked by additional magic tiers, additionally the M.ACC isn't as necessary with current content relative to 75 cap. Whereas with ranged, you reach a new damage breakpoint, so it increases the base damage for all ranged attacks, overall increasing SS's DPS substantially.

    SCH:
T1: Helix, Sub 5/5. None of the choices is massively useful though.
T2: Enlightenment, Stormsurge 5/5. Enlightenment gives you extra enhancing skill to use for Embrava if you have +2 relic body augment, so it's very useful if it pushes you up to the next tier.

I'm looking at the page for spell recast times on bgwiki, and I'm confused.

    1. Equation 1: Post-Haste Recast = (Initial Recast: 10 bits)×(1 + Haste÷255 - Slow÷255)
    2. Equation 2: Post-JA Recast = (Post-FC Recast)×(Job Ability Modifier 1)×(Job Ability Modifier 2)×...
    3. Equation 3: Final Recast (10 bits) = (Post-JA Recast)×(Shifted Fast Cast÷100)
Keep in mind that the final and starting recasts are made to be 10 bits (similar to Flooring).

The first term of equation 1 states to use the initial recast in 10 bits, however the rest of the equation does not use 10 bit numbers (+1 is in base 10, haste terms are in 8 bit).
The second term of equation 1 appears to state that haste increases recast while slow decreases it.
It also says to divide "Haste" as an 8 bit number by 255.

Equation 2 states you should use the post fast cast recast in the first term, which you don't actually calculate until equation 3.

Equation 3 references a "shifted fast cast" which, as described on the page, is a 10 bit number. It then says to divide by 100, which is a base 10 number.

How do you actually use these equations?
In equation 1, moving left to right, do you
convert recast to 10 bit (first term)
convert haste to 8 bit and divide by 255 in 8 bit (same for slow)
add one in 8 bit to the haste/slow combination
then convert both terms to binary, multiply, and then convert back to 10 bit? (as far as I know, that's the safest way to multiply 10 bit by 8 bit)

Additionally, the equation states that haste is an 8 bit number, yet the attack speed page states it is a 10 bit number. Is it a 10 bit number for melee calculations that gets converted to an 8 bit number for recast?

Obviously, recast calculations aren't all that important. It's usually enough to say that you should just reduce them as much as possible. For the wiki's sake, though, the equation is a bit vague and confusing.

At least with my TP set, I can substitute Rajas for Terrasoul and still use Relic+2 legs.
Twilight does better than AF3 head, at least for me.
Warwolf is either better or marginally worse than windbuffet, from what I saw in the spreadsheet (and soooo much cheaper).
    Grip: Yes, pole is better.

    Alright.

If I'm over 500 already (stated previously), and going further does nothing for me (stated previously), and I have easy access to Alexander (I said I was working on colossus's), enhancing torque remains a waste of money.

Clearly I was not talking about a stoneskin set, a spell which can be capped naked, or I wouldn't be trying to optimize a 500 skill build.

I'll rephrase the question more explicitly.

What's going to benefit me more, the siegel sash with it's -8% casting time, or the 3% haste/3% fastcast/3% quickmagic (not really counting on that) on the witful, both of which I carry on me anyway, in a skill based enhancing spell set (not a stoneskin set).

I assume you're talking about cast time. Quick Magic, since you're not casting in skill gear (Assumption), is a detriment. Use the Siegel Sash.

I'm jumping into this without having read any previous posts.

If your haste is capped with just the 3% from witful: precast siegal, then swap to witful.
If your haste is below 25% with witful: precast siegal, figure out whether or not witful's fastcast is reducing recast more than a higher haste belt could.

Most enhancing spells cast pretty quickly. Recast is generally more important (haste!).

In the process of having an account restored and was wondering how far back it can go and what's lost. Finished a 99 empy and a 99 relic on the account 9 days and 6 days apart from the hack, respectively. Should I just assume my progress on those items will be lost? Is it worth calling SE to plea that they're not erased, or does it all depend on the last available restore point?

    Wow, that really sucks. Sorry.

The only bit I can offer is that a friend who was hacked had their account rolled back about a month. He had been casually leveling ranger (a while before abyssea), and after the rollback he'd lost all progress made leveling ranger for that month.

I am casting in a hybrid skill / fastcast set because there didn't seem to be enough time to get in 2 gear swaps reliably.

This is for Barspell/Phalanx I/II/Enspell/Temper/Gain. Anything skill based, usually a self buff. I don't usually run into an issue with recast timers. As haste does nothing for my enhancement potency I'm not sure why I'd be anywhere near gear cap.
