Ah yeah, no, those numbers are made up to illustrate a point. Anything that you'd care about interrupt on is going to interrupt you unless it's perfect.

Ahh, I see. I'd tend to agree though. SIRD probly won't prevent enough interrupts to be worth the inv- unless you're capping.

I just didn't think actual per hit dmg had anything to do with it. But high lvl mobs tend to hit very hard, so whether dmg had an effect or not you'd see more interrupts on high lvl mobs.

I don't think I've seen testing on it but if you watch on things that you have any decent chance of not getting interrupted dmg plays a factor. But if your odds were crap to begin with doesn't really matter. So if you casting subjob spells against a high lvl mob prepare to get interrupted by 1 dmg. I have noticed high lvl mobs even at same dmg as lower ones will tend to interrupt more too.

level and skill seem to have alot to do with it, ive casted through a briareus crit aat 95, and now at 99 with slightly undercapped skill (about 20 levels? i havent checked in a while)ive been casting at a decent rate through grauberg chariot.likewise, its rare but ive been able to interrupt KBs meteor

I can't imagine having any issues at 99 as long as you make sure only one DD gets hit with Mega Scissors. If you can negate it altogether by running into it (I seem to recall this working but being difficult since it's fast) then even easier. Venom Shower may or may not still hurt with Barwatera.

I imagine barwater should take care of venom shower, and I had planned to separate the two DDs. Is he going to take enough damage? I don't want it to be like fighting armed gears on mnk lol

Is Iga earring worth using if I never plan on switching abyssal to suppa? Or just stick to Centaurus?

I'd guess 5-10 minutes to kill, leaning towards the lower end. Haven't fought since 90 though and I was still working on gearing my NIN at the time so I could be overestimating it.

Sorry to chime in from left field. But to contribute to this with some foggy memories. I believe there were a few people who had totally capped SIRD and found it to be 100% when you finally DID reach the cap. It was in 1024's and would be kinda nice IF you could pull it off... So the merits may be worth it in that case. However the rest of everyone's general knowledge of the trait.... It will never happen when you need it.

~3m. Completely resisted venom aside from poison with just barwater. It wasn't the HQ version though. I know with Ruthven I had completely different experiences between the two lol. Mega Scissors hurts but pdt gear etc.

Not switching to Suppa implies that you're just using ninja for bullshitting around, in which case the +10 evasion over Centaurus will probably be useful.

alternatively, before the "hit weakness while it's using a ws/casting" was known, +20%'s were weak1, +40 weak2, +100weak3, +200weak4 - but the message wouldn't show the difference, so only knew it was 1 or 3.

Quite possibly Weathering Shield. -10 resist doesn't matter on anything you would use a PLD to fight these days, and it has the best base defense with -10% MDT as a bonus.

I thought that too at first, but MDT- is easy as hell to cap and it's not aegis so it doesn't bypass cap. It would allow me to re-work my MDT set to put more MDB in, but Idk if it's really worth it.

My pld isn't my main, I haven't tanked anything serious since VW first came out, but I do like to keep it geared just in case it's needed. I'm still using Seigneur, but I was looking at Dagda's or Majorelle as potential upgrades.

Genbu simply hits crazy hard during invincible, did you have signet/shell up? Unresisted enwater definitely doesn't help there either.

To follow up on an earlier post, we did Genbu last night BST BST THF/DNC and the whole thing took less than 5 minutes. Slug pets absolutely beat the tar out of him and took next to no damage, were both at 80% when he died. The BST just stood back and watched.

Also, LOL at the Croutana R-21 La'Loff Amphitheater post. Sure takes me back, well played.

Would NIN/DNC + BRD/WHM have any problems duoing Proto-Ultima?

NIN could also go BLU or BST. BRD also has RDM, WHM, BLM.
