If Jishnu's, why not sanguine Scythe? Though I suppose because RR/GH>SS and during any abyssea event there's a stupid amount of downtime, so Sea Daughter will be a significant boost.

I'm 0/5 on macha's slops still, and did Bhaf a couple days ago, 0/4 on Zarchery drops. Was a nice bonus of alex though.

But, if it makes you feel any better, I'm 3/5 on Hikazu Kabutos, and 2/5 on Hara-Ate's.

What's a good Taurassic Park strategy?

This probly won't help much unless your PLD has an Almace/Ochain, but still. I solo'd this BC in about 5 mins as PLD/WAR.

Basically, you supertank them all, letting them feed you TP. With a Shield mastery+3 Kaiser schaller you'll get TP fast enough to self SC most of the time. So, you get them low on HP one at a time, then kill then fast once they're all low.

Watch for the message in the log that warns you when they're gonna ray. Just turn around and wear PDT till they all ray. Also, as they die the remaining mobs can ray multiple times. Basically, there will be 5 rays no matter what. If there's only 1 mobs left when it happens, he'll ray 5 times rapid fire.

Literally just did this twice with MNK MNK MNK WHM BRD RDM, both fights under 5 mins just spam on it. You want it to TP as much as possible to get full damage.

What do you mean by TP as much as possible to get full damage? I'm considering trying this KS99 and want to know what you mean.

How the shit do I fix this?

I downloaded all the .dats from http://tehkrizz.net/FFXI/downloads.php and replaced them, including installing the latest patch on top of it. The game still thinks I need 566 files. It has to be some kind of configuration thing, so wtf?

I hate to say it, but you may need to reinstall. Sounds like a lot of files aren't where they are supposed to be, and file check never fixes things.

Drastically improved meaning how many runs? I triboxed 2 AR runs the other night, did every NM, and didn't get shit except from the boss.... Plenty of alex tho yes.

Once you're on the test server, is it possible to "reset" your character? That is, if you do something irreversible on the test server (in my case mess around with mythic quest but other examples would be using up tatters), can you revert your character to an earlier state? Or if you got a new piece of gear, could you reupload your character in its new state?

With FFXI running, R-Click the speaker icon in the system tray > mixer > mute FFXI

Setting should save to keep ff/pol muted until you undo it.
