Drastically improved meaning how many runs? I triboxed 2 AR runs the other night, did every NM, and didn't get shit except from the boss.... Plenty of alex tho yes.

Well I completed about 10~11? Salvage pieces in the two months I was doing it regularly back in Aug/Sept last year, so I'd say drop rate is pretty good.

Don't you need three people to enter? I only have one second character.

Have a character DC on entrance. Alternatively ask in LS, you'd be surprised how many people wouldn't mind tagging along for drops if you take the effort to set it up.

I don't have a real feel for what the drop rates are on pieces, because I got four of each 35 within about 3 weeks of SSR spam (two for the moogle, two for my characters) and they won't drop anymore.

Now that drop rate isn't an issue, I would guess that the hardest area to get 35s from is Bhaflau. Honestly though, I get the feeling we're about at the point where 25s are as rare as any given 35.

If you work on the notion of pusing a rampart to ~60% to see if its "on" or not, you can do all 4 ramparts (presuming you only catch one) and have time to clear all gears and do boss.

1-Cleave first 2 rooms of wamoura and bombs (not necessary but they'll wind up aggroing), skip the rest, do MB and rampart, port up
2-do all 4 flans, enter rampart, go up. dont bother with attributes
3-go straight to gears, first YY the trips gears to pop, and then clear out the rest, do rampart and port up
4-dont rush too much, pop the rampart, and clear out the middle gears, do rampart till about 10 minutes left, then port up...and kill boss, which goes really fast

Our PLD is working on Aegis and has WoE sword, so that's probably out of the question.

I was thinking on WAR BLU BLU WHM, get to 200+ TP, gather the mobs, Cleave*2, one BLU odes Thunderbolt, both BLUs spam aoe spells, second BLU uses Thunderbolt when stun fades, and I keep Cleaving as much as I can. Goal is to get all of them to low health mostly at the same time, but I don't know how much HP they have. I bet probably much more than 3-4 FC FC and a few BLU aoes worth, right?

I'm sorry I can't give an accurate reply. I didn't parse any of my runs. And wasn't watching my ws dmg that closely. All I recall is that Chant>Chant>Light>Chant would generally get one low. Like ~20% This was with berserk, 90Almace, and a very good chant set.

dnc merits with an emphasis on solo? I was thinking 5/5 haste samba, 5/5 rerverse flourish for cat 1, 1/5 in both dances, 3/5 NFR, 5/5 closed position for cat 2.

Extra points in saber/fan dance seem like a bad investment, but I'm not really sure about NFR. How useful would 5/5 really be over 3/5? Haste samba merits don't sound useful if I'm mostly soloing with fan dance up, but is building flourish even used anyway?

Pretty much what you said, but I prefer 2/5 NFR since NFR -> Presto -> Step will give me 5 finishing moves anyway.

Stick to haste samba. I'm not sure what you plan on soloing, but in several cases you won't even need to put up fan dance. And in any situation where you are killing fodder mobs/in a group you'd want haste samba.

Another point of note is that the relic +2 pants will increase the average DA rate while Saber Dance is up by 1% for each merit. 5/5 Saber Dance is slowly becoming favourable.

Thanks anyway, this is helpful. I'll probably try and see with that setup, I have an orb lying in my locker since the new battlefields started, so it's only a matter of trying. and besides, I have more HKC than I know what to do with.

Very likely it's 3NQ 4HQ, or 4-5. Every other case has cap raised by 1 for HQ item, don't see why these wouldn't.
