I could've sworn I posted this already, but I can't seem to find it so i'll repost:

I've seen people claim they average ~100 coins per dynamis run as solo DNC/THF.

However I dual-box as DNC/NIN + WHM/THF and even with a good proc/kill speed the most i've gotten is ~110.

If that person is solo, then they aren't riding saber dance, and they're holding tp for cures so they don't WS as frequently as I am. They also don't have whm haste and other buffs like i would.

Are they full of shit or am I doing it wrong?

That's... not very good. I dualbox thf/dnc and whm/rdm and if I get under 150 coins it's been a bad run. You're obviously doing something wrong if you're only getting that many dualbox.

Are you just pulling and killing one at a time? Are you fighting in a heavily contested camp? Are you wasting time casting utsu? Is your Whm getting hate on each mob?

How do you kill more than one at a time? aeolian edge? I occasionally link a few but find I have to switch to EVA gear to avoid dying.
I usually fight the DC mobs, would the EP ones be better? They are always camped.

I am relatively new to dynamis farming, but I've had several runs that I thought were "good" that only brought in ~100 coins.

So I guess it is me who is doing it wrong then ;_;.

Pull one, proc, pull 2nd, kill first while proccing 2nd. <stnpc> is your friend.
Also your whm has to get hate on each target to apply TH.

That's pretty much what I do.

whm gets hate with dia2, when mob is almost dead I /ra a 2nd one.

I should say that my WHM is pretty gimp and /thf i have no refresh/sublimation, so he pretty much only does haste and dia2 (cures are for emercency) So I probably spend more time casting utsusemi than is ideal.

I'll work on beefing up my exenterator set and pimping my whm.

Perhaps this is my problem: I usually don't WS until mob is proc'ed.


Sometimes mob is already ~50% from just melee by the time i proc it.

You think this alone would account for the low coin count?

I'll try this more agressive approach on my next dyna.

15 flame geodes away from 2nd str99 i'll finish that tonight probably.

I'm using yellow curry buns because i can craft them for next to nothing.

Even at 120 coins per run, Brego gloves only cost you about one run and are the best Haste hands for many jobs right now. <_<

RCBs are also a lot better than YCBs. If you get something like 5 more coins per run because you ate better food, the food pays for itself. (~100k stack price difference / 3 = 33k, 33k/8 = 4~5 coins)

If you upgrade your offhand and use WSs to lower the monster's HP before proccing, you should do better. Also, consider fighting DC monsters if you are comfortable with the healing load on your mule. My final suggestion isn't really going to be helpful, but try to avoid competition. I do /sea of several options before I decide where to enter and frequently send tells to ask people what they are fighting.

Try going dnc/thf and whm/rdm or whm/sch then. Whm casts cures > You dont cast utsu > more time DDing.
As soon as you've procced one, you should be proccing a 2nd whilst killing the first, don't wait till low HP. Don't slow down your DDing before you've procced. If it's getting low HP and still no proc yet, pull another one and DD that whilst proccing the first. Soon as first procced then kill it (I usually just solace-holy it). Repeat.

Of course seaing doesn't always work. Just yesterday I entered a zone because when I entered there was only 7 people. 10-15 min later there was 20...

I am killing DC already, and I have had zero competition the past week i've used this new camp.

I wouldn't say I'm spending an abnormal amount of time castin shadows, just that i'm casting them more than the dnc/thf.

I will also try DNC/THf + WHM/RDM. whm is super gimp so he doesn't have /sch.
