Water Threnody lasts a bit...but still not aoe.

Theres a chance magic def down is a thunder based debuff, and heres my reasoning:
Attack Bonus is a fire based buff, Attack down is a water based debuff (Aisha, Demoralizing Roar and Corrosive Ooze are all water based spells).
MAB is an ice based buff, Magic Atk Down should be a fire based debuff, but its hard to tell since its not a common debuff.
Evasion is based on wind, Evasion down is based on ice (Infrasonics, garuda should be immune to all evasion down effects)
Defense is based on earth, and is lowered by wind based debuffs (Frightful Roar...and titan should be immune to it, its a moderately common debuff)

Based on this, the magian weapons gave MDB to water based weapons. therefor Magic Def Down should be a thunder debuff by SE's logic.
By all means, there is a chance I'm wrong, but would it hurt to try? Enervation and Benthic Typhoon are aoe/cone debuffs.

I'll go see if Ramuh is affected by it. Whats the other avatar that should be immune to it if its a thunder debuff, Titan right?

and when did SE change the runic portal dialog?

"Ebony Pudding uses Boiling Point, but misses Ramuh"
I didnt know it can "miss", so I think thats the same as a resist?

twice now, and both times they used it on me when I was going to learn Amporphic spikes, it landed.

Boiling Point missed Titan twice.

Missed Levi too...maybe avatars are immune to that effect cause of their properties? Probably faster to just kill a target mob with the debuff on and see if it works >.>

Rikaichan gives me a little different. Basically I'm reading it as two possibilities. Either nothing can be done with current changes to the system, or they've made a change and are working something out and I should have the information in my email, except nothing else has shown up.

Just got myself a pair of Athos's Gloves. Whats the crit hit from the set bonus for having 2 pieces of Athos's equipped, and how much crit does it add for each extra piece you put on?

Not without 8/8 merits and some gear to boost katana/GK skill. Don't have the exact post, it's been asked before though, hopefully someone else can link the gear needed to reach skill level, but naturally, no they don't get.

Question about Dark ring in Abyssea Kon-!

Does the Amber light power affect ring stat or its random? Do you suggest build half amber or full? Would building some azure lower gold chest a lot?

If you want -6% rings max amber. If you want the highest number of rings to npc keep the chests small (so 120ish?).

Also, thank you for all the thunder based debuff discussion, yugl and I will have to give it a try soon. Lastly, Radec may have a different avatar but he's still always right, it's for stun.

beastmen, theres decent camps in any of the 4 groups, the currency you need pretty much dictates which group you do. go /nin and you can proc mage mobs too, just bring tons of tsurara

If you are on RNG then machine crossbow. COR would be peacemaker or that VNM one from Attohwa. Wouldn't know about THF.
That would be my tip.
