If I'm building a WAR from the ground up for convenient FC capability and red procs, what's the best of the magian WS great axe's? I'm thinking 10% damage was said at some point, but I keep second guessing it and I'm about to hit the spot where the trial splits and I have to choose. Also I'm assuming widowmaker is beaten by now? idk, new to the job, etc.

WAR in VW... what is an acceptable skill level for most weapons, if you are just expected to be able to proc on those weapons? Would having all of the 290-300 WS and trial WS unlocked be acceptable, or should I be working on capping club/staff/gs/scythe/axe/sword/pole?

I see way too many WARs gimping it without certain weapons leveled. At 300 you're not gonna have a very high hitrate (varies depending on the tier/NM). It's not hard to cap skills out on mandies with retaliation/pdt gear/regen atmas.

For Hollow Earring, do you need to be wearing it for the Enspell +3 to kick in, or just cast in it?
I'd assume be wearing it, but Brutal/Suppa seem permanently attached to my ears for TP.

Which spells/ja/ws stack to create the most Defense down %?

Ageha/metatron/dia3/angon/2hr'd jump/ shit like that... tourbillion or w/e it's spelled?

What's the most defense down we can get and what stacks with what?

Tourbillion apparently doesn't stick for shit on most things, Tachi:Ageha+box steps+dia3. You can't have more than 1 of the same status effect on, so it has to be a unique status.

No, Angon gives defense down, which is the same as Tachi:Ageha. Steps give a unique effect, and thus stack.

2 followup questions. Does perfect defense overwrite itself? Obviously the scenario would be PD has been up 1:15~, rotate another smn in to PD again, will it overwrite? Lastly, anyone wanna take a stab @ what ADL's defense is?

I don't believe it does. What are you doing (wrong) that requires (you to have) two PD?

Do you think Rdm could solo it aswell? It's my only mage on main. Well Duo, I'd bring my whm as it's what has orbs.

Looking at that Sch video I was thinking Melee Rdm on the ground, nuke in the air? Should be able to survive with capped MDT idle and whm barspell right? Will be slower as no kaustra/helix, but that fight took 4mins and the limit is 30.

You need to be wearing Enspell damage gear, not just cast in it.

Short on DD's last night when we tried him. Got our clone to 29%, not a lot of wiggle room job-wise either, except we had a rdm for mini-nm's (didn't need it, hindsight I suppose), who could be either another DD or another smn. Our setup was Apoc drk, Bravura war, masa sam, drg (just came back to the game so gear is pretty poor), whm, smn, rdm, thf, brd mule.

/shrug we got close, decent first attempt.

Timed out at 20%. Chainspelled during flight. Could have streamlined a few things and probably saved about 5 mintues. Maybe if I had been /nin and using a Dagger with Evisceration/Exenterator instead of /blu with vorpal Blade, it would have been better too.

But I'd rather not risk a second KS99 to find out. So back to original question:
Main: War Thf Drg Rdm Cor Rng
Mule: Whm

Whats the minimum other people I'd need for it and what job set up? Would something like War/Drg/Thf + Whm + Blm work? Melee serk it on ground, blm nukes in air?

Another ADL question! There are 8 Arch Dynamis Lords in the .dats, is there a way to distinguish which is the correct (loot dropping) one? If so can someone direct me to where that .dat is in the files?
