I have to say, I hate Santorum - I don't use that word lightly, I really hate him - but I used to be able to at least respect him because of the image he had painted for himself. he was simply a man who was living by his convictions, and though I thought it was a terrible way to live, to try and force those convictions on the rest of the world, at least he was being true to himself. I may have hated him, but I could respect that.

then I find out he's a hypocrite and a liar and basically no better than any other politician, he just wears enough sweater vests and says enough shit about religion that he had me fooled. he's a selfish bigot who tramples upon the rights of others to gain power for himself and his church, and has no compassion or ethical commitment to anyone other than his own ilk. his squeaky clean image just ends up making him look all the more sleazy in the end.

really, if you look at the tea party thing, Santorum was ahead of his time. he was unapologetically bigoted long before it was in vogue.

Santorum is the kind of guy to do anything it takes to get what he wants, regardless of how stupid/bigoted/insane it makes him look in public. He's always been that way.

Right now, he wants to be president. If the best way to do that is to make himself look like a total whackjob, then he'll make himself look like a total whackjob. Don't get me wrong, he's still a power-hungry sleezebag, but if you think he believes even a fraction of the shit he spews then ijdk. Santorum has, and always will shamelessly do or say whatever will serve his ambitions the best - even if it means changing sides completely.

Chris Wallace is probably the most "fair" person on Fox News. He has a lot of conservative bias and will skew shit in interviews, also does a lot of interrupting of guests to interject talking points, but he's the only one who will go after some of the crazy views.
