I'm perfectly conscious that fuel production/usage need to be reduced worldwide, but I'm not idealist to the point where I believe that throwing wrenches at our local economy would improves the situation, especially when the consumption isn't going to slow down. We are still far from a real penury where our decision will matter, so we might as well take our part of the cake and remain as competitive as we can.



Your post insinuate that global CO2 emission would change by an amount that is more than trivial if we were cancelling the project. It's just wrong. We need to change the world on a different level if we want to help our case.

See how the graphs aren't smooth? That's because deciduous plants exist. The little troughs are spring/summer when these plants put on leaves (and thus pull carbon out of the atmosphere) and grow a little bit.

There are other carbon sinks that have stopped the atmospheric CO2 from matching what it should be given our output, but they aren't all (or likely even mostly) plants. For instance, the oceans will solvate some CO2 (as carbonic acid) proportional to the amount in the atmosphere. So we're making our oceans slightly more acidic, but our atmospheric CO2 is going up slower.

Are you sure this is due to deciduous plants and not algae bloom cycles? I am not sure if they correlate directly but Algae accounts for 70-80% of the oxygen production on the planet.

I mentioned CO2 here because it's the reason why we need to maintain our forest and ocean, and if your goal is to stop global warming, you're picking the fight at the wrong level.

And yes it's largely because of deciduous plant cycles, like I mentioned before the levels measured in the northern hemisphere where the vast, vast majority of landmass and deciduous vegetation are have a much larger range than levels measured closer to the equator and into the southern hemisphere.

Where in my article did I use math? I think you can’t math. You blindly believe that 2+2=4, without researching into it at all. At least I don’t just believe everything a Liberal Grade School Teacher tells me to believe.

I brought up the math because of two things: 1, you claimed it was 1000% factual, such a percentage can’t exist, and even if you were exaggerating (which I highly doubt since you seem incapable of defining it), the fact is, 2, you believe 2 + 2 = 5. The fact you ARGUE that 2 + 2 = 5 is a testament to your stupidity.

Sorry, that was 2×2=5. Here is proof that 2+2=5:
Start with: -20 = -20
Which is the same as: 16-36 = 25-45
Which can also be expressed as: (2+2) 2 (9 X (2+2) = 52) 9 X 5
Add 81/4 to both sides: (2+2) 2 (9 X (2+2) + 81/4 = 52) 9 X 5 + 81/4
Rearrange the terms: ({2+2}) 9/2) 2 = (5-9/2) 2
Ergo: 2+2 – 9/2 = 5
Hence: 2 + 2 = 5

See… simple, isn’t it?

Except that’s considered to be a mathematical error. To say that it CAN happen is one thing, to say it’s TRUE is a different story. You can get as fancy as you want, but the TRUTH is that if you start from two, and count upwards twice, you get four, i.e. 2 + 2 = 4.
