fox and republicans really know how to run with this shit. some unimportant retard says 1 thing and suddenly there is a democratic war on women.

Their ability is so repugnant and respectable at the same time.

It's making for some fun conversations with the Romney flip flops that have come out though. Also, the Ostrich logic that has to be used to maintain the outrage makes it HILARIOUS to watch the rage train run out of steam.

I asked someone at work who was ranting how one person on Obama's campaign, saying one thing about a specific woman meant that it was an Obama policy by his administration. The response? "It show's that's what they think!" OOooooooh I had fun with that.

Michele Bachmann finds Hilary Rosen's comment shocking and insulting

The Romneys take a celebratory victory lap at Hilary Rosen's expense

Of course, in typical Democrat fashion, once they fumble the ball, they go running away rather than try to recover it. Granted, to people who take the time to read, Rosen isn't anyone other than a pundit, and the comments aren't nearly as incendiary or inflammatory as they were made out to be. Especially since Rosen's actual point has some merit.

But that's has never been the point. Ann Romney wasn't even on anybody's political radar until now, and this pundit made the claim she's never worked a day in her life without any context or meaning. Republicans have been playing defense now for almost six weeks with terrible coverage and even worse legislation they're producing; they were desperate to make a counterattack. Of course the right is going to jump all over the comment and completely obfuscate any discussion or points that were going to be made. Now the ball gets reset back to the middle, with the low-to-zero knowledge voter at the very best scenario going, "Man, both sides are sooooooooooooo terrible!", when they're really not.

All of this bullshit was completely avoidable.

Saw someone with a bumper sticker yesterday that read "Republicans are the only solution to fixing the problem with education in America" along with several anti-Obama stickers and a "Romney is the choice for a greater America".

If I had been drinking coffee it would have been spat out. Then I saw that it was a 90-something year old woman driving it with a walker and laughed at the irony.

I agree. The Daily Show and Colbert have been great during this whole Republican Race, lol.

Someone in the condo complex next door to me has a bumper sticker on his Suburban XLT that has Obama's face on it and says "Does this ass make my SUV look big?"

Sometimes I'm a bit shocked that I haven't seen one of those "Don't Re-Nig in 2012" stickers yet.

I'd honestly prefer it to a lot of what I see. It'd be nice to see someone being vocal about their racism, instead of burying it in some other non-issue.

Yes it is surely impossible to separate not liking Obama and being racist.

Romney is tied with Obama in the first general election Gallop poll.

7 months, SuperPACs, and two tepid candidates. Going to be one hell of an adventure.

I'm not suggesting everyone who hates the man is a racist, but it is rather common.

I'd go on a limb and say that pretty much 100% of the republicans below the mason dixon dislike obama to some extent due to race. The rest of the shit they complain about is just fluff. Where do you think "take our country back" came from. Fucking kenyans.

I didn't say it at the time to a LS mate who was excited about Obama's election but one of my first thoughts was that Obama's election would only cause anything but acceptance and equality. Being right about that still feels really bad.

I like to think of it differently. Regardless of the frothing rage coming from the racists and closet racists Obama's election was an inspiration to anyone who isn't a WASP and proof that someone other than a white male could become POTUS.

Of course the racists are riled up becaue it's a threat to their status quo and could have a compounding effect going into the future. A hispanic president? Asian president? Jewish president? Female president? Who knows.

Acceptance and tolerance come with time and eventually people will look back at Obama and say "big deal" but that doesn't change the fact he opened one helluva door and that's scary for the insular groups in the US.

Good point. I do admit that I spend too much time on the negatives on a lot of things.
