Shit I'm surprised no one blamed the Dallas Tornadoes on Obama. Also, bad Firefox. Obama is to a word.

A handful of House Democrats, encouraged by the recent bipartisan agreement that stay-at-home moms should be considered just as hard working as anyone in the workforce, will introduce legislation to apply that standard to mothers on welfare as well. Under current law, raising children does not count toward the required "work activity" that must be performed by recipients of Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, the federal program that emerged from the 1996 welfare reform. Some states make an exception for mothers with children less than a year old.
The Women's Option to Raise Kids (WORK) Act, a copy of which was provided to HuffPost in advance of its introduction, would allow mothers with children ages 3 and under to stay at home with their children and continue receiving benefits.

It's unfortunate that they're probably not gonna seriously push it. It's not a bad idea, but many Democrats don't want to be seen as the welfare party, so they might not take this seriously. The two parties have been competing since Clinton to see who can get rid of welfare the fastest.

I think the idea was that for someone who is a businessman and touts his ability to fix the economy he can't do something that many Americans do every day - file their taxes on time.

On the other hand, attacking him for taking advantage of a totally legal practice (which in turn costs more money to file the paperwork and process it) is a little stupid. Just attack him for being Mormon. Might as well have a Scientologist for president.

I thought people grew out of the "You didn't do it because you can't do it!" line of logic around elementary school. There's absolutely 0 reason not to get an extension except just wanting to get it over with. There's not even "paper"work to file anymore: you can do it online for free afaik.

I do fullservice accounting for small businesses and personal for the CEOs - there are so many different reasons to get extensions that it's incredibly ignorant to say someone is at all irresponsible for filing for an extension. For someone like Mitt who likely has income from 100 different sources, you almost have to file an extension while you wait for your shit to get in, like 1099s.

I filed for an extension just to have one thing in common with Mitt.
