Florida may very well be all it takes this year.

After living here, I don't see how it's a swing state. It's pretty republican and subtly racist.

They elected Rick Scott of all people. He's almost as bad as Walker.

The Tea Party was fucking crazy for Rubio so it seems smart to choose someone like him to court the republicans who are iffy about Romney.

Republicans will vote for republican. They maybe weary but don't think for a second they won't vote for Romney and try to boot Obama out of office.

Rubio can win from Miami to Orlando based off of being Cuban, but the rest of the state is mostly Mexican. And Mexican's don't care anymore for Cubans than Cubans care for Mexicans.

I couldn't imagine Rubio being the VP since I've always seen the VP as the Vanguard of the President's political ideas and agendas. Rubio seems pretty lukewarm or against what Romney wants.

My main point is that most other Hispanics are Democrat. Yes it would solidify the Cuban vote, but would have no effect on the rest.

Dunno, as a Puerto Rican I've never felt like I needed to connect with a Hispanic candidate. If anything all I care about is whether they have my best interests at heart or not. Given that most politicians Hispanic or otherwise do not, I couldn't care less.
