If you are the DD with hate then yes, when I have hate i slap a full -DT set on, try to survive til it turns then WS.
Not exactly earthshattering information in regards of being deep or thoughtful, but you can avoid much of the hassle with Tier 1 Jormungand by bringing it down to 70%, having all of the DD turn around/store TP, and when it begins casting a longer spell such as Freeze/-ja, everyone turns around and pummels it. We brought it from 70% to 25%, which caused it to go up in the air, and immediately come back down.
As I said, pretty much common sense but for some reason it didn't immediately occur to us to try this in our first runs.
On the 10+ kills when out of PDs, did you try EA + scherzoing? How would that hold up with proper stunning/shock squalling?
No scherzo or EAs used. All just stun locking from 5 SMNs. The second soaring Naraka got 1 TP move off...I think if he was lucky, basically just sat there..... We have done Veiled Ironlad without PD and Mired Mantis, although mantis is considerably more awkward.
Thanks for feedback guys. We are trying to bring only 4 SMNs and wondered which chambers we could ration out the PDs. I know people do it on the Sandworm chamber as the worms can both be CS Stunned. 4 SMNs is probably OK in Kings chamber too with the ranged-damage friendly Wyrm and Turtles. Final chamber I wouldn't go in with less than 5 SMNs though.
Also, has anyone actually SEEN a Fulad-Zereh drop? Seems it is an extremely rare Wave 2 item.
See it yourself, unless I miss something(like secretly popping PD+2hr reset somewhere in vid), they only have 1 SMN in entire ally and I didn't see them use that PD until Gallu.

Compared to the damage we've been taking in Mul with PD off and DDs in PDT, they're taking a drastically decreased amount. There has to be a reason for that and it's something only JPs know of at the moment. They also got lucky with IG chasing random people instead of focusing on DDs with MS up unless of course they know of some JP way to make it do that, which really wouldn't surprise me either. I wish I knew what some of the JP text at the beginning said too, perhaps it would shed some light on that.
We're down to using 4 PDs on Wave 1 and 2. It can be risky, but if done right, it leaves you with 2 PD for Gallu and Rex without the need to reset 2hr. On that note, I don't think there's anymore room to drop PDs without exponentially increasing the chances of melee getting rocked. IG is annoying with stun/amnesia on melee attack and Mantis/Naraka have deadly melee attacks. Not to mention, if even one TP move gets off on these you'll be weak/HP down/amnesia.
We PD wave1 IG then kill Mantis/Hapry, rebuff, PD Naraka, lock buffs, Kill IG, PD Uptala, rebuff, PD Mantis then kill Harpy.
They all seem to be Tping in hybrid PDT sets. Didn't see a single Alexander. x2 SCH/BLM with marches and embrava will have around a 3s recast on Stun with alacrity which is outrageous for that hall, barely any TPs go off.
I'm thinking they used a setup along the lines of -
DD DD DD BRD WHM COR
DD DD THF BRD WHM COR
PLD PLD SCH SCH BRD SMN
Thoughts?
I saw a Leviathan for Tidal Roar, I assume they had bio 2-3, aisha- ichi could reduce that further - although I didn't see a NIN, there was definitely an Amano SAM, and let's just say for shits and giggles they were using a claustrum for the aftermath.
25% Tidal Roar
15% Bio III
15% Aisha Ichi
Amano, Gates of Tartarus - Not sure on values, but they would definitely help rather than hurt!
Stacks up fast!![]()
Gl brainstorming more ideas, guys!
I'm pretty sure you can't stack all those -att things like you can't stack -def stuff. So probably just bio tidal
This is an old post, and I'm fairly sure this person has quit... but were they incorrect in their summary?

Also I thought that relics were in their own category for these effects >.<;
edit: forgot mention of relic![]()
Well, they are using old numbers but they are correct. You can stack multiple debuffs that lower defense, but you can't stack multiple debuffs named "Defense Down." Box Step, Dia III, and Angon are three separate debuffs (Sluggish Daze, Dia, and Defense Down).
Bilgestorm or Angon 5/5 with AF2+2 augmented hands is -25% defense down
Dia III with Light Shot should still be -20% Defense from Dia
Box Step 5/5 is still -13% Defense from Sluggish Daze, and you can get -7% off the bat now with Presto
So it's -52% instantaneous and -58% total now. If they ever fix Tachi: Ageha and Tourb, we can get a little more out of our Defense Down. You can instantly double your Ratio against almost any monster. Sounds great, but you've brought three jobs that you wouldn't normally have in Legion to do so. Without them, you're down to Dia II and either trying to land Tachi: Ageha or Armor/Full Break. No Box Step unless your THF subs DNC, so you lose 2% instantaneous.
Pretty sure he's talking about attack down spells and abilities, to offer a possible reason for the lower damage taken
