Seems they exclusively overwrite each other. Was able to rid of Kaustra by recasting Embrava after it ate the prior Embrava.
I guess we know how SE can fuck over Embrava-burns now.

Oh okay. That is significantly less retareded.
Well assuming you have SCH with their 2-hour up it allows you to nullify the effects of kaustra by overwriting it with embrava--thus erasing the non-erasable status effect. It may actually be more beneficial than detrimental.
one thing im not sure if its been mentioned or not, but having a sch rdm w/e with twilight cloak impact mobs like kaggen really help with resists in mul especially with ele seal granting full 3min duration
Quick question on expected time taken to kill turtles in An. What's an average killspeed and/or average nuke on these? I run a shout Legion and were using 3 blm, 3 smn, 2 sch. Last night was our second attempt and the turtles seem to take forever. No deaths on either Turtle and average damage 2k+.
P.S. Septimus...where the eff were u last night!!?
Should never really take more than 5 mins at the absolute most if your players are well geared. Me on SCH with weather and ice MAB Magian staff averages 3k T5s.
For wave 2, BLMs should Manafont, all should be carrying Vile Elixirs too
The first turtle died in about 5 mins. 2nd one took at least 12 if not more. My nukes on sch were doing about 2200 using Chatoyant on wave 1. Wave 2 was considerably less. No drop from Zilant btw.
First wave total for us normally averages 5 mins, second wave total time around 7-8 mins with harpeia dying around the 15 minute mark on an average run.
Blms are probably playing a little too cautious, and if they didn't have meds slows things down, important to keep the damage momentum going.
How far did you get overall?
We kill the wave 1 turtle in one and a half to two and a half minutes, and the wave two turtle in about 4 minutes; both with just melee and the 4-5 summoners we bring.
Or better yet--we just hone in on what the mechanic is that allows you to kill Paramount Naraka without him being locked at 1%/Kastra'ing, and we could just forget about it altogether.
How many BLMs do you use? Do you have your SCHs nuke full-out on the turtle, or do you leave one with the Paladin tanking Jorm/Zilant? Do your Summoners have resists on the second wave Turtle?
3 blm, 3 smn 2sch. Smns, blms and schs on it full time died around 5 mins. 2nd turtle the 2 schs were stun locking Zilant but it died very fast. Maybe they are positioned wrong and not fast enough on cast is all I can imagine. We were using viles and hyper ether. It did kill 1 blm but at that point it was at around 10%. According to their reports their damage only slightly decreased. I however was resisted a bit more as sch.
The only real problem I had with the 2nd wave turtle is ..... if mages do not try to share hate.. or if 1 blm is just nuking and the others just buffing or curing .. or anything else. (Oh and the lovely breakga)
Breakga, Bindga, and Graviga are all pretty big pains. I would definitely have the summoners sub WHM for that chamber.
Can be noted for Paramount Naraka also that Benediction removes Kaustra
A decent Herculean Slash set up does decent dmg vs the turtles in An, 800-900 dmg or more with scarlet delirium. It's definetly no blm dmg, but it helps to speed up things, specially with how fast you get TP with embrava and haste. Works outs better for us than using physical WSs with no buffs (because of tortoise song constant dispel) most of the time, at least half the time a melee keeps hate which helps our nukers go all balls out.
What about that GKT that turns every WS into magic damage or whatever. Anyone tried that?
