No drgs dps still sucks regardless of target. If you are using a good setup the benefits from angon and crit evasion should be fairly minimal.

DRG's output in everything other than 99%-fodder events(Nyzul only, basically) is usually going to be passable. That is to say that you won't debilitate your group by using it. Compared to the preferred jobs, however, DRG really isn't 'pretty good'. The difference is pretty substantial. I love DRG and end up dicking around on it for a lot of things, but even for things like Odin V1, my output is pretty pathetic juxtaposed to my WAR, for instance.
Imo, unless virtually everyone around you is pretty alpha in focus/equipment, don't use DRG for anything without Ryunohige.
Won't angon be pointless when ageha fix is live?
15% Defense down from Ageha. It's also not guaranteed even with the fix and the duration isn't static; can still miss, doesn't go through shadows etc.
Sorry, I think I actually meant 25%. There were some conflicting reports about it.
I thought I remember seeing testing that ageha was 25-30% defense down? Was it nerfed?
Do we know if the DEF down from Angon stacks with the DEF down from Gungnir?
No, every defense down effect shares the same status besides Dia/Box step.
Besides just bring a blu or bst for 33% def down!!!
I /SAM for pretty much everything, but note: Ryunohige.
Hmmm, I'd dig through some parse data for Im to compare, but... I've pretty much only bothered to parse Mul. I guess I should start parsing other Halls too.
Wait.. how is your wyvern keeping enough TP built up for you to even get any from spirit link? My wyvern has AM3, but even so, I WS so fast he burns every bit of it before I can SL any TP.
I don't know if /WAR would help you or not. It's hard to compare without mob stats.
Might be able to figure mob AGI from your crit there. Cause gaining 9% crit rate in 14 dex sounds like you went from below 40 dDEX to cap.
God, someone please give me Rogue's roll. Damn you, Fighter's.
Spreadsheets suggest that /WAR is virtually always worse if you have reasonable and appropriate buffs. Hasso is a pretty big deal without Haste Samba available.
With the Empathy'd Haste/Double March my wyvern gets a decent few hits after that last WS so after that one hit I SL for like 20-24% or so TP. My DD phase looks like Sekkanoki>WS>WS>Jump>WS>Jump>WS>Meditate>Hit>WS>Hi t>Hit>Spirit Link>WS or thereabouts, to be more accurate.Wait.. how is your wyvern keeping enough TP built up for you to even get any from spirit link? Hmm. Even with AM3 up, my wyverns TP never really gets off the ground. Although, we don't use marches, and you can't spirit link embrava. So he's certainly hitting slower.
Also, my spirit links are usually timed for keeping the lil git alive. Which generally isn't an issue when staying on top of steady wing/spirit link recasts. But survival timing for spirit link and DD timing may differ.
With shocksquall rotations I was surprised how easy it was to keep the Wyvern alive, at least in Hall of Im. Almost no TP moves got through, and if they did, they barely scratched steady wing. Wyvern is more likely to outlive me to be honest when PD drops it seems but then again I've never done Mul. One of the ideas I suggested to SE on the official forums was to give us some kind of damage buff like Attack or Attack Speed that would be a stance ability; the penalty would be the wyvern would be unable to use breaths passively(only with pet commands) for the duration. The good thing about restricting automatic breaths on WS would be to use the Wyvern as a TP battery for Spirit Link. An alternate suggestion was to give a pet command to increase wyvern attack speed/accuracy/attack but restrict automatic breaths, serving the same purpose.
I'd be all for either of those adjustments. Ironically, preventing ele breaths would actually increase my wyvern's DPS in legion. Breaths, unlike normal WS, have a notable charge time. And, I assume, some JA delay afterwards. So he spends all the time he could be meleeing, locked up using ~20 dmg breaths. If he just melee'd after I engaged, he could rack up far more dmg than breaths are getting me pretty fast. And if this would mean he'd have TP for me to spirit link, so much the better.
That hasn't been tested, so I don't know. The original tests were done using Excalibur procs (because they're slashing damage). We just have our WHM spam Banish 3 as fast as they can (and our SMN/WHMs cast Banish 2, for that matter).
Does Banish III work against that Im Vampyr's extra DEF/EVA it gains when you kill the other things first?
Probably not. Also, keep in mind that you eliminate the penalties and the benefits of their damage resistances when you Banish them. If you're running with a lot of Monks, it might be better to just let them epeen it up and not Banish.
Vampyr gains def/eva when you kill other things first? That's good to know. My feelings were hurt when I saw myself hitting for 60-70 damage with a D141 weapon with 1200 attack and doing 780 WS.
