Her having Mighty Strikes would explain why sometimes she's tame and other times just manhandles every melee in range. I know she's hit me for 1000-1200+ with melee swings on multiple occasions.

I've never actually seen her use Mighty Strikes but our PLD's drop to kite so I may have it filtered.

Can confirm she uses her 2-hours directly after a mob is killed in the wave. It seems to be random which she uses though.

Also her spells seem to be instant cast for the most part, chainspell just increases the frequency.

Does Soaring Dweorg have any odd targeting mechanics? I was healing a PLD that was supertanking it and Kumakatok, when a few minutes in it randomly decided to come over and wreck me. No one had claimed it or hit it in any way, so it should have stayed on the PLD, no?

Don't have a massive amount of Legion experience, but I've seen a couple of occasions of super tanked mobs just deciding to run off and attack a person at random. I think the last one I saw was the wave 2 DI which decided to run half way across the zone to attack a WHM without getting claimed at all. It's possibly just some kind of glitch with the hate being alliance wide, I seem to remember similar things happening in Einherjar back at 75 occasionally.

We've never had issues with Soaring Dweorg, but we always kill him second so it's hard to tell. We did have some melee get killed by the Tier 1 Corse's random Dread Spikes last night, though. Our Ryunohige DRG one-shotted himself in a single triple proc, I think. Anyone know what causes those?

Probably has same mechanics as Giltine, the VW Corse in The Eldieme Necropolis (S).

I have no experience of Legion at all. Do you have to complete the initial 4 halls in any particular order? If not then which would you recommend to start with?

    Nope!

I'd do Hall of Im first. PDing it is the simplest way, especially for the corses. ( (PD) Vampire -> Dvergr -> (PD) Corse for both waves )

For PDing (assume you are rushing to fight the next monster unless you're PDing):
Ki: (PD) Hydra -> Khimaira -> Cerberus for both waves, then PD the boss
Im: (PD) Vampire -> Dvergr -> (PD) Corse for both waves, then PD the boss
Muru: (PD) Ixion -> Amphiptere -> Sandworm -> (PD) Ixion -> (PD) Sanguiptere -> Gigaworm -> (PD) Boss
An: Behemoth -> Wyrm (Summoners/scholars should be kiting around/killing the turtle.) -> (PD) Zilant (fight from behind) -> (PD) Elasmoth (Summoners/scholars should be kiting around/killing the turtle)

    Notes:
In general you can kill two weakish monsters per PD, like Vampire -> Dvergr or Hydra -> Khim. PD does not overwrite itself, so make sure it wears off before reapplying it.

    For stunning:
Ki: Hydra -> Khimaira -> Cerberus for both waves. For wave 3, we give Hydra-types priority, then the boss, then anything else.
Notes - Wave 2 Khimaira is immune to stun, so have your scholars switch to light arts and spam Accession Cure 4 on different melee parties from max range. He also casts 20' Breakga a lot, so your WHMs can't be retarded and stand in range.

Im: Vampire -> Dvergr -> Corse for both waves.
Notes - Stun the Corse on movement (as soon as your scholars seem him rotate, move, etc., stun again) and make sure the Paladin drops alliance before agroing the monsters.

Muru: (Scherzo) Ixion -> Amphiptere -> Sandworm for both waves.
Notes - Your stunners will have to be good for the first wave Sandworm. We find it's easier to just have one guy do it because he can see when the previous stun has worn off. Make sure your healers are smart enough to run from Ixion and not stand in front of it.

An: Behemoth -> Wyrm -> Turtle (Scholars should be kiting/killing the turtle the whole wave) -> Zilant (fight from behind, leave two Scholars to stun) -> Elasmoth -> Turtle (kited by an SCH while not being fought)
Notes - Elasmoth is immune to stun and has Accursed Armor/AoE damage. Shit is deadly without PD and there's pretty much no way around it as far as I can tell. This is the hardest chamber with the stun method, in my opinion. Maybe he's easier if you kill him first in the wave. His Accursed Armor might be timed.

If you're just starting up a group, I'd recommend:
    1) Parse everything. Numbers don't lie and will help you manage your resources better. Important tabs are Offense (check Hit Rates) and Recovery (see who is actually healing the most).
    2) You need good stunners if you're going to go that route. The SMNs can be mules if you do it that way, at least until the nerf.
    3) If you are going to stun, have your stunners not only stun TP moves and spells, but also stun after bad melee attacks and instant magic. Monsters like the Mantis (jumping attack), Harpy (swirly attack), and Naraka (4-sword attack) can easily 2-hit people with their melee attacks, but it's generally predictable. If you stun after the bad melee attack, you can generally avoid the fatal follow-up.

A RNG party is a fairly effective way of dealing with Elasmoth. I've heard people say he takes increased ranged damage. I'm not sure if that's actually true but I do know that our RNG's tore him to pieces when our melees were weakened the one time we did the chamber properly.

Generally speaking we only do Wave 1 > Zilant > GTFO so haven't had chance to test it. Currently have 2 people working on Annihilators so can maybe give it a proper test when they are done.

    We have been doing:
    * 3 quick chambers
    * Farm one of the starting chambers
    * Mul

Last time we got Elasmoth to 2% HP before our melee wiped. He's just such a pain in the ass with those spikes, but I don't want to change the party setup (even just bringing a summoner) and delay the run for An.

Yeah that's pretty much in line with what we do. Usually if we full farm a chamber then it's Muru (and obviously Mul). The rest are usually Wave 1 only plus a quick T2 mob if it has a desirable drop and not bothering with Embrava.

An + Im are generally more hassle than they are worth to full farm. An isn't really optimum with all melees and Im can either go well or restrict you to like 12-15 kills because of charms going off.

For PDing (assume you are rushing to fight the next monster to the next unless you're PDing):
    Our PD is different:
    Ki 1: Khimaira > Hydra > Cerb
Ki 2: Khimaira (PD) > Hydra > Cerb

Im 1: Corse (PD) > Vampire > Dvergr
Im 2: Vampire > Corse (PD) > Dvergr

An 1: Behemoth > Wyrm > Turtle (PD)
An 2: Zilant (We PD, but quite unnecessary imo) > Turtle (PD) > Behemoth (PD)

Muru 1: SW > Amph > Ixion (PD)
Muru 2: SW > Amph > Ixion (PD)

Not sure how you're defeating the Wyrm with melees and no stuns (SMN and SCHs are on the turtle for your Ans) unless you're using RNGs.

Our melee have finally gotten good at timing their WSs so that he doesn't fly for long. If he flies at all, dragoon jumps still work and the CORs are over there.

How do you do the Tier 2 Behemoth without PD? Do you just quasi-wipe?

Forgot to label PD on him. Sometimes we do fight without PD, but that's risky.

We don't PD for any mobs. Set-up we take is usually

    DDx3 BRD COR WHM
    DDx3 BRD COR WHM
    SCHx3 PLDx2 THF

1-2 BRD + COR are interchangeable with extra DD's (so essentially 6-8 DD's, 2-4 buffers). Both our BRD's have 99 Daur + Gjallar which obviously helps. The second PLD is generally just fluff and unnecessary.

For the Wyrm we do the same as you Byrth. DD's hold TP and time their WS'es and then COR's/SCH's land it. If your DD's time it well enough with a stun thrown in, you can force land it immediately.

No particular reason really. Like I said it's generally fluff/unnecessary and we don't always enter with a full ally so that slot is frequently empty. It covers any mishaps/DC's/whatever but realistically there's no solid reason it couldn't be any other job.

    Similarly, we use:
    DDx3, COR, BRD, WHM
    DDx3, COR, BRD, WHM
    SCHx3, PLD, THF, ???

The 18th slot for us is also random, but we prefer a healing job (WHM or RDM). SMN would also work if we were doing something like full An clears.
