Wasn't my pickup, guess I can't complain the leaders were paying for the items out of pocket.

Did An with 32. Cleared first wave, timed out trying to deal with Meteor spam, Lofty Trophy. 11pm, too late to do any more to test battle dmg or strats
Will do tomorrow at normal LS time.
Any lists of items available for Legion points out there?
All the rings with enhancements and all the earrings with legion: in them, cost 10k/ea
Cleared first wave of Im (dverger, vamp, corse) and the dverger in the 2nd wave. Soaring Trophy as expected, 3/4 now and done for the night. The first dverger is squishy; it doesn't use thundris shried until 50%, and at 30%, it gains death, breakga, and slowga. The Corse has some weird damage modes, so we did it last. The vamp only charmed once (lucky). The corse can use meteor.
On the second wave, the dverger wasn't quite as squishy, and the vamp had weird hate (it ran off to attack the person tanking the corse, and wouldn't budge for about 60 seconds). The vamp has enslow, and uses Lord Ruthven's moves--minax glare(terror and def=1), dirty breath (zombie, can be sacrificed). The vamp had insane defense, so we switched to the corse, but we timed out at about 40%.
An Wing:
Wave 1: Isgabind Type, KB, Turtle.
Wave 2: Yilgeban Type, KB(Abyssea KB), Turtle(Abyssea)
Mid way through the 2nd wave these random devices appears on the wall and started giving aura's (poison, etc). A few nukes take them down, but they're pretty destructive if they go un-noticed.
Yilgeban and KB from 2nd wave both cast Impact and most high level spells (Didn't see death or Meteor off Yilgeban).
Isegeband type went into the air at 60%, landed between 30-40%.
We had 36 people. Optimal setup from what we could tell is a mixed setup (turtles didn't take great melee damage).
Pld Pld Whm Whm Brd Rdm
Blmx4 Smn Cor
Blmx4 Smn Cor
DDx3, Whm, Brd, Cor
DDx3, Whm, Brd, Cor
??? last party (another melee heavy or ranged party).
I like that setup but the more I think about Legion and the fact that there are 7 HNM in each chamber, resulting in roughly a 4.28 minute per HNM time limit to clear, the more I think that they intend BLM's to have Meteor to clear mobs quickly. A single BLM PT could get off 3 Meteors in the time limit, and your setup allows for 6 Meteors of Strength x4 each.
check your pms!
most important thing i learned last night in my one run, make sure people know how to fight the mobs, we fought (i use that word very loosely) was the jorm, i think maybe 3 of us were standing on his paws, whm was curing from god knows where, nin was fighting from behind the front paw, then the best i saw, after i died from no cures at all, while jorm was walking about, war runs up and vokes from behind
i promptly left after that lol
from our 2 runs last night, things we learned about An:
Behemoth and Turtle cannot be stunned. Jormy can.
Throw front line jobs/rangers at behemoth. DD's reported accuracy problems, even with capped stats, sushi recommended. NQ can cast Meteor. speculation is when less than 50% hp. Needs verification. Magic dmg seems to be 50% mdt, with most tier V's and Jas's landing for around 900ish. Wild Horn will kill your support, keep support behind it.
Throw blms at Turtle. Each nuke would take off approx 3-4%. Earth based, so nuke with Ice. keep shell up on blms. Easily kitable, but his spells are what wrecks. Suggest mdt set for idle. ranger dmg nullified by high defense.
For Wyrm, echo what others say, a "mixed bag" so to speak works well, as you will need nukers/ranged when he flies from 70%avg to 30%avg hp. Try to stun Gregale wing.
Optimum kill order seems to be Behemoth > Turtle > Wyrm
Is there any scaling of any kind when you go with less than 36 people? The monster setup is always the same (first wave of three, second wave of three stronger, presumably third wave with the one remaining mob as a boss). Do they have less HP, reduced stats, or anything like that? I know the NPC asks you whether you want to go with 18 or 36, but as far as I can tell that's only so it knows whether to generate one or two passes.
Also, I think I read this somewhere before from the test server, but just FYI -- mobs DO NOT regen while passive here. It can be very difficult to recover as mobs are aggressive and will hunt and kill everyone alive once they have become aggressive (not sure if alliance or just area-wide hate), but if you can manage to wipe, reraise, and recover without aggroing anything, you can actually continue the fight from where you left off (if you have enough time left). We had wiped fully and reraised and recovered in the corner where you enter. Mobs came close but nothing ever came close enough to the wall to aggro us. Couldn't get everyone up, but we were able to get most people up, and the Behemoth that we had previously started never regenned back up from 40%.
We got an Asklepian Ring off of Lofty Behemoth.
Vassal's Mantle from Lofty Adaman
tractor works fine if people were having difficulties raising up
Cleared Hall of An's first wave with 18 easily with 10~ minutes to spare but good lord at the second wave; the turtle was hitting a Ochain PLD on blocks for 200 lol. Accuracy on 2nd wave for relic melee was ~40% too... I don't see how that's doable at all with the damage they put out; even with 36.
We got a Hearty Earring off the Soaring Corse in Hall of Im.
I think ranged DDs and manaburning will make a comeback for this unless zerging becomes popular. I didn't have any acc issues on the wave 2 turtle as annihilator rng with meat food if that helps at all.
I don't know about other servers, but on my server last night there were no people in Legion multiple times I searched the area. Did they ever add an event to the game before that people abandoned after one day? Even Pankration lasted longer than that, lol.
It wouldn't take much to make this event relatively doable, they just need to make the mobs not auto-link.
As much as I like the event, and like getting my entire LS working together and not worrying about overflow etc., the event clearly needs to be adjusted. 45 minute time limit like WoE would be much more reasonable, and frankly since WoE already has that time limit AND is much easier I don't see the issues with aligning them. Otherwise, you keep running up against the crushing 4.28 minutes time limit per HNM, which as it stands the only way I could see of winning requires the most idealized setup of 1 Aegis/Ochain PLD tank party, 2 supercharged Emp melee BRD swap/COR-buffed parties, a party of RNG, and perhaps 10 BLMs w Meteor and 2 Refreshers for them. There is literally NO margin for error. I don't even want to think about the time limit in the Paramount chamber with the Botulus Rex and the Kalasutrax clone lol
