Yeah I wonder if BKV is a Phillies fan, all I could think of when I saw that.

I can't believe the amount people are paying on Ebay for those 3D covers. Someone at my LCS said Joker's Daughter was going for $200. I guess DC didn't print a lot of them so they're quite the rage amongst collectors.
I only got the ones done by the actual writers of book the villain took over. Count Vertigo, First Born, and Arcane. Meh.
Am I the only one disappointed with Gambit series ending with him not joining the Uncanny Avengers(they new need members after the current storyline ends apparently)?
What do you guys think all the Marvel NYCC teasers are gonna be?
Peter David with Corporate..
Dan Slott with Rad! in silver.. Silver Surfer?
Remender with Mindbubble..
Bendis had a couple too.
And Charles Soule getting She-Hulk, which would bring his total of books to 6 (T-bolts, Red Lanterns, Swamp Thing, Superman/WW, and an indie one I can't remember much about is coming out too.) I like the guy but that's too much man, too much.
Rad is obviously Silver Surfer, his name is Norrin Radd. Dr. Mindbubble was shown in one panel from Uncanny X-Force. Can't say which issue since I just saw the panel posted recently. It was Apocalypse Archangel crashing through a window into a great hall with huge statues. First statue was Dr. Mindbubble. I read he might be appearing in Captain America. Peter David's I don't care about, he sucks.
Peter David is whatever group Lorna joined at the end of her X-Factor book prolly.
One of the Bendis books is apparently a crossover book between X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy.
catching up on stuff because I fell really behind because this stupid thing called life
Sex Criminals was so funny. Lazarus taking 2 months for the next issue sucks; I want to see Forever fuck people up. The Star Wars has been a very interesting take on it. Saga is fucking Saga. East of West is so good too. Bedlam gets more and more messed up every time I read it. Why isnt Pretty Deadly out yet? Battle of the Atom was going good till the most recent issue.
Think that covers everything I read. Still a bit behind on some thingsMind the Gap is next!
Not a lot of good stuff this week. BotA continues to move at a snail's pace, Thanks Bendis! The special Avengers book, Endless War by Ellis was just shit. Over a hundred pages and most of it was concepts that Ellis loves to fill his stories with that don't translate well to comics.
Most of the tie in stuff that I looked at was dogshit, but the main Forever Evil comic seems pretty solid. Led Luthor has kind of taken a back seat in a lot of the New 52 stuff, so him being front and center in that series is entertaining at least.
I enjoyed BotA this week. But I love alternate futures/timelines.
I also caught up on some stuff recently. East of West 6 was fucking bad ass. It's gonna be so fun see how Hickman keeps building up that world. The Manhattan Projects 14 was sweet too and looks to have some big stuff happening. Saga is saga. The Wake keeps getting bigger and bigger, but I find myself losing interest. And although I think Millar is kind of a douche Jupiter's Legacy was pretty cool and Frank Quietly is worth reading that book for alone.
Read Hinterkind #1 last night and it was OK, but not sure if I'll keep reading. Also checked out Rat Queens #1 and absolutely loved it and definitely adding it to my pull list. Great satire on dungeons and dragons and RPGs with awesome art.
Will try to catch up on Marvel / DC shit next.
did anyone read The Witching Hour or something? It was something Veritgo put out that was a bunch of different horror shorts by different writers/artists?
this is probably not the place to ask but does anyone care to explain why Green Goblin and all his incarnations are viewed as such a great villain as to be ranked 13th of Spiderman's enemies?
I recently watched the start of Spiderman 3 and checked out the wiki for some background info on the Goblin and found it lacking. I'm much more of a Venom fan but I suppose I tend to lose interest when different people become said enemy (or hero) and dead people were never really dead etc/alternate realities and bla bla (I'm sure Venom probably did all these at some point though, knowing (as little as I do about) comics)
Green Goblin is considered to be Peter's archnemesis. The reason Gwen Stacy died is because of Norman Osborn; which became a motivating factor in Peter's life for a long time. Harry Osborn was a close friend of his so when Peter found out Norman was the Goblin, it had a lasting impact as well. Not to mention Norman dying while fighting Peter.
Later, Harry became Green Goblin. You can kind of imagine what it would be like to have your best friend becoming you worst enemy.
Other versions of the Green Goblin are insignificant. The only other Goblin I ever liked was the first Hobgoblin.
