He had been, but Ultimate universe has had so many mini retcons it's not even worth trying to keep track. Read thru the first two Ultimates series and the first Ultimate Iron Man series and just try not to get a migraine keeping it all together.

Had a question. I'm nowehere near a comic book store and I'd like to subscribe to the Walking Dead and have it mailed to me. Is heavyink.com a good site? They seem to have decent pricing. Or is there a site you guys would recommend?
I could get it for iPad but prefer paper version.

if you haven't read any of it, I'd suggest going on Amazon or something and picking up the TPD. They are like $10 new I think.

If you plan on having them shipped to you, see if you can wait for enough issues to come out. Looking at that site briefly, its $2.99 per issue for shipping. The cover cost of walking dead is 3.50-4 bucks so it's double per issue.

Or just buy the trades and wait.

Honestly, I feel that the Walking Dead just reads much better in those trade paperbacks. I can sit down and read like 10 issues in one sitting, it's that addictive. Now that I'm all caught up it's just torture waiting for it month to month

Marvel had acknowledged during Siege that they oversaturate on events, yet since then they've dropped Shadowlands ( though that was mostly self contained), Fear Itself, and now AvX.

They really need to cut this shit off, or at least limit events to just the individual brands with a small amount of tie ins (read: Spider Island).

I liked 0 and 1, but 2 left much to be desired. It's fucking weird having a new writer on every other story.

Unrelated, Batman started Night of the Owls off well. I refuse to read the tie-ins though. Fuck nightwing, batwing, batgirl srsly.

I like Batwing and Batgirl (they offer some variety in the bat universe), couldn't care less about Nightwing though. Nightwing and Catwoman are the only two bat books right now that feel like duds to me, the rest are pretty solid.

AVX 2 was just off balance, the writer couldnt handle the amount of characters in the story. Plus, I'm sad to say, JRJR wasnt in top form. It would've been so awesome if they focused on Colossus busting into the hellicarrier and start smashing Avengers but for some stupid reason it was all about pairing up dance partners.
