just read Batwoman #24, last of Blackman and Williams. DC wouldn't let them finish this? It was freaking epic. I don't even care how it turned out. Kate Kane could have left Gotham forever.
If you didn't read it, the DEO has been trying to get Batman and using Batwoman to do it. They set free most of Batman's villains in an attempt to lure him and the Bat family out. Bruce confronts Bones(the head of the DEO about this), then gets into a fight with Kate.

and that is how it fucking ends...
new writer for next issue has to pick up from that. but it wont be the same. Williams art is just too good.

It wasn't that they wouldn't let them finish the story, the bigwigs at DC apparently wanted to change some stuff they were writing (I would assume probably forcing them into some crossovers). When they started Batwoman part of the deal was complete creative control, so they gave DC the finger and walked away.

DC forced them out. They wanted to do a Killer Croc book for villains month, but weren't allowed. They had a story plotted through issue 26 that would conclude the arc. DC didn't like it.
DC did this because the pair get paid a good amount and Batwoman(for various reasons that I wont get into) doesn't sell enough to warrant their pay check.
If they had finished the arc and didn't continue on the book, Id have been ok with it. The way it went down is stupid though.

Oh. Had only read about it when the news first came out, didn't realize it stretched out that far. DC having so many writers getting dumped or quitting lately, must be alot of BS going on behind the scenes.

Agreed. I've read and PAID for this book from the start. I had to get the last issue even though I knew it was the ultimate blue balls. I feel bad for the new writer, cause he's actually pretty cool.. cause I gotta drop it cause fuck DC. I'll d/l and keep reading cause I love the characters involved. Art was always top notch when Williams did it and was astonishing.. , but always a let down, with McCarthy fill-ins, which were good but nothing compared to III, stories were just good-to-average though. Nothing will top the Rucka/Williams Batwoman Elegy story.

Reading thru Marvel's January Solicitations, wooboy. Inhuman stuff, apparently a new Mandarin, Goblin Nation (Superior Spider-Man), and the usual Marvel teasing of some Avengers dying. Oh and 4 Avengers books written by Hickman. Ah yeah

Pretty Deadly and Velvet both blew me away with their first issues. I'd strongly recommend both books.

Looking forward to reading these this week and Sex Criminals and Rat Queens #2s.

So, I got Lego Marvel (it's 26.99 on Steam) and I'm having a blast. It's campy but a lot of fun. Lots of characters. I can't wait to unlock Moon Knight and Punisher. Prob the most fun Marvel game I've played in a while.

Rat Queens is a fun book. Sex Criminals was just ok, th3y had to set up who the male character is. The letter page cracked me up.

Well Rat Queens 2 was awesome. Pretty Deadly really didn't do it for me. It felt all over the place kinda like Kelly Sue is trying to do her best Hickman impression, but I'll give it a few more issues. I agree that BotA is underwhelming and Bendisy. The curiosity surrounding the future teams is the only thing interesting about it imo.

Marvel accidentally (?) let it out that Spider-Hero/Ronin in Mighty Avengers is Blade. Wondering who was under the mask was the only interest I had in that comic, so nocur anymore
