Guess a little late on posting but this past weekend Marvel kind of announced AvX 2 with a new AXis event coming up.

Avengers and New Avengers great as ever. Mapmakers revealed, a new member in the Illuminati and a bad ass fight in the next NA. ASM #1 was barf, I miss Ock. Uncanny Avengers annual was just so bad. What could have been a classic was just filler, I was sorely disappointed.

I'm finally caught up on Avengers, New Avengers and Uncanny Avengers.
Thought Avengers was a little iffy til that awesome Banner/Stark confrontation. How mad Banner was getting brought back fond memories of Planet Hulk/World War Hulk. New Avengers is the best and that alternative earth society-team is awesome. Can't wait to see what the Library is.
Uncanny is epic as fuck. I really enjoy the marriage of Thor-stuff to Uncanny X-Force stuff.

I had to read Avengers twice to fully get everything Banner did, and it was awesome. Glad he was added to the Illuminati.

Avengers was fucking fantastic. I love how Hickman can make a comic entirely of two guys sitting around a table talking so damn epic.

I saw the Map makers thing coming since I noticed how similar they looked when the Adaptoids first evolve, but still great seeing the bleedover between the titles.

Yeah I finally threw in the towel with all the Bendis books. Guardians is the hardest to give up because of what it could be.. but all the characters in all his books are all the same now. I'll rely on you all to tell me what's up with the real Nova.
I wish Remender or Hickman would get put on GotG. Would be great.

Sam Humpries got an exclusive contract. Every Marvel book he has written has sold low and ended.

I do wish someone else would write GotG and X-Men, but Remender and Hickman have enough going on between their Marvel books and indie stuff.

Marvel should just give Nova and GotG back to DnA. They wrote the prologue infinite comic for the movie, so hopefully they'll feed them a bit more.

Yeah their indie stuff is all so good too. I guess I could sacrifice Remender on Cap (even though it's pretty solid too) for GotG, but it won't happen anyway so no real point in wishing.

Yeah I don't get the Humphries thing. All his marvel stuff is meh. Maybe his Starlord book will be good, but I bet it won't!

Is anyone reading Secret Avengers? I loved the last run but the relaunch has been amazing. I never knew how much I would love MODOK as an agent of SHIELD.

As for garbage writers at Marvel, I will never understand why Bunn, Humphries and Loeb continue to get paid to write such putrid diarrhea.

Even most of Marvel's big names put out alot of trash with the exception of Remender and Hickman, who could probably make actual diarrhea a good read.

Waid writes DD an d Hulk well. Hawkeye is awesome. I dig both Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel. Elektra was a good read. Black Widow has Noto art. I love Slott on Spidey.

Much better than DC which has Wonder Woman and idk.

Anyone read Invaders btw? I couldn't afford another book to add to my pull list.

I read issue 1 and 2 of Invaders and then lost all interest, I wouldn't recommend it.

Another classic Remender goofy ass comic is XXXombies with great art by Keiron Dwyer. It's about a porn filmed during a zombie breakout in LA during the 70's. It's godamn hilarious and no, there is no graphic sex lol.

I enjoyed Fraction on Iron Man, and obviously Hawkguy is great, but most of his other Marvel stuff is kinda poor. Waid is consistent, he doesn't get me as excited these days, but he rarely writes a bad comic.

As for Slott... I love Spider-Man, but the man is an eternal cocktease and it gets frustrating sometimes. I feel like that probably doesn't need any explanation since anyone who's been reading since he took over ASM and especially who has read his interviews knows the man is a giant troll.

I was OK with the first issue, it was basically just setup and like anytime they do a relaunch around movie time, it's usually more about getting new readers situated. The followup stories setting up the next few issues and the teasers on the last few pages of the years stories look interesting to me. Spider-Men was better then it had any right to be, so getting a followup to that is OK in my book.
