Someone actually broke it down to say why people are dumb. I don't read Cap, but the fact that people claim Remender hates women and claim he thinks guys will fuck underage girls if they guy is black is absurd.

I really really hope Marvel just ignores this because it's obviously people being retarded. Especially anyone trying to claim Remender hates women considering how every woman he writes is pretty serious business (Psylocke, Maria Hill, Sharon, Jet)

Yeah the whole thing is laughable especially when you consider she tells Falcon in the damn book that she celebrated her 23rd birthday with her father. The important people at Marvel have already come out in defense of Remender so he probably isn't worrying about it in the least.

It's pretty funny reading the #firerickremender tweets now. It went from a bunch of people (who probably didn't read his stuff anyway) complaining and being ignorant fuckers to the creators standing up for him and it taking on a #thanksobama joke feel.

Apparently a new Captain America will be stepping up now that Steve has lost the Super Soldier serum. Marvel has not announced who, but has been very vague with the pronoun usage, which could imply a female.

There is also a lot of rumors that the Falcon will become the next Cap.

Personally, I see two possibilities: Jet and Ian. Jet could be an option due to the lack of pronoun usage, also if this happened Ian could possibly serve as her Nomad. Ian as a possibility seems to be an option because of his role as Nomad in the prologue to Dimension Z.

I think I'm so irked by the whole thing because it's fine if you don't like someone's run, but the blind rage and assertion that Remender is doing such awful things to all these amazing female Marvel characters just shows such a narrow view it blows my mind. People complaining he kills women off just to advance the male characters plot lines (fridging) are ignoring that male characters have died or been lost as well. (Ian, Wonderman, even Cap). It also ignores that it's lolcomics and dead people are maybe dead for 10-20 issues or the obvious fact that the UA arc is going to end up an alternate timeline deal.

That's enough internet for today.

One thing it's proven is that Mark Waid is a boss. He's been passionately sticking up for Rick on twitter.

We have a situation where if anyone got raped it was Falcon(Since Jet was the one getting him drunk instead of the other way around) and now masses of people are screaming at Remender for having a black man defile that innocent white woman raised by a Nazi mad scientist.

The woman who started the argument is wrong but by calling her wrong men are being misogynistic bastards? And also that apparently people are awful on the internet?

Also, Avengers 32 was awesome. How Hickman manages to build the tension in his incursion story with every issue is crazy.
