X-23 and Scott get together, and then X-23 and Angel get together. Seems perfectly natural for a girl that should still be recovering from PTSD and selling her body to do(peopel seem to forget NYX )

JRJR only did the first arc in Cap I think, and even if you're not a fan of his generally it worked for the alternate world nature of the story.

And I just threw NYX on my phone this morning to read during lunch again. Whatever happened with the other not Laura characters from the story?

Kiden was seen in an alternate future in X-Force where Stryfe was using her powers to keep Cable and X-Force in the future. Domino shot her cause Laura couldn't. I want to say they were also seen in one of the first issues of X-23 by Marjorie Liu. They were still living on the streets iirc.

According to the creators of Gotham Academy, the comic is something "that was missing in the Batman universe" — a mystery told from the perspective of young people that's like a mix of Harry Potter and Batman: The Animated Series.

For many critics and fans, anticipation for the October-launching comic is only heightened by the list of veterans on the creative team. Written by indie darlings Becky Cloonan and Brenden Fletcher, the comic will feature pencils by fan-favorite artist Karl Kerschl, who's working with French colorist Romain Gaschet to create an almost animated style on Gotham Academy.

The comic, as its name implies, is set within a prestigious, private boarding school in Gotham City, one which not only has Bruce Wayne among its benefactors, but has a long history within the city — one that is filled with mysteries that tie into the Batman universe.

I don't want to spoil too much, but I knew about some of the events of "Batman Eternal." I spoke with [editor] Mark Doyle and [writer] Scott Snyder about what was going to be happening and thought there was a good opportunity, and they agreed. It will all make sense when you read the first issue of "Arkham Manor." Years ago, some of the work Brian K. Vaughan did with Batman, in part, dealt with mental health. And he was working, I think, in a psychiatric facility at least part-time when he was getting going as a writer. He made the connection that Thomas Wayne was a healer to those with mental health issues, as well. And people suffering with mental health issues are often stigmatized.

I don't want to give away too much, but if Batman is willing to give up his life for Gotham, what else might he be willing to do? Events are not necessarily inside of his control but in the end, he's Batman, and for the greater good, Arkham Asylum changes into Arkham Manor.

I think readers of the first issue will agree that what seems is a crazy idea at the start is simply the product of another long emergency in Gotham.

Led by Detective Jim Corrigan, they debut in DC Comics' all-new supernatural/horror adventure book, Gotham by Midnight, on sale Nov. 26.

Spearheaded by a horror comic superteam of writer Ray Fawkes (Constantine, Batman Eternal) and artist Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night, Ten Grand), Gotham by Midnight spins off from the pages of Batman Eternal but operates independently of that title. And while Bats will be around, because this is set in Gotham, after all, his main function in the book is to liaise with Corrigan.

Multiversity #1 was fucking weird. Interested to see where it goes. Kind of like the references to Marvel heroes(Reed Richards, Cap, Dr. Doom, Aquawoman looking like Carol Danvers). Captain Carrot could be glorious.
The Wicked + The Divine is fantastic. Gillen and McKelvie are killing it
Elektra is such a beautiful book. Next arc should be badass.
Ms. Marvel is just so great, very clever book.

As much as I liked Uncanny Avengers story this issue, the art was so fucking terrible. Panel after panel just looked like ass.
Conversely, business is about to pick up in Avengers. Cap is not happy at all. That being said, wtf is he gonna do to Namor really? Namor could bitch slap him from here to Atlantis.

Also, idk if anyone picked up Wayward. It was pretty cool. Definitely had the Japanese vibe working for it, with a little Buffy mixed in.
