avengers was dooooope
Avengers was interesting. I like that Braddock and Pym join the Illuminati. Susan Storm as a SHIELD agent was great too. Thor 25 was a blast, I wish every issue Aaron could just write awesome shit like that. And the fucking Biz! Did anyone read Multiversity? It was funny, exhilarating and fucking inspiring. This was Morrison on all cylinders, do yourself a favor and read it.
Edge of Spider-Verse #2 was one of the best comic issues i've ever read.
New Avengers, YUSSSSSSS. I won't spoil it but it had one of the most out of nowhere hilarious moments I've ever read.
So I haven't thrown down money a tablet just yet as I might be able to just let relatives get it for me for xmas, but I did stumble across the Valiant humble bundle which seemed like a pretty good value. Are there any other places I should be watching regularly for similarly good deals on digital comics?
all i know of is comixology, which you prob know of as well
Avengers circle jerk aside, what is DC doing right now? I'm seeing all these Future's End titles but I honestly have idea Wtf that event even is.
Future's End is an event happening 35 years after present day DC new52-verse involving Batman Beyond . This month is all tie-ins that take place 5 years after present day DC new52-verse. I don't really read it, but it involves time travel, a lot of Wildstorm characters with cancelled titles(Grifter, Voodoo, etc) and some other shit.
They also just finished Superman: Doomed. You can see one of the final panels here, which teases a lot of stuff. I don't read Superman, so I can't tell you if the event was any good.
Batman: Eternal is going on. About a month ago I bought every issue and have since kept up with it. There is so much going on and it is pretty epic. Huge rogues list, full Bat-family(new 52 versions), Stephanie Brown styoryline goes through it.
Green Lantern is about to have a crossover with the New Gods that could be pretty sick.
Multiversity just started up(with a few tie-ins) and has been fantastic. Grant Morrison on all cylinders and a ton of big name artists.
Wonder Woman is finishing up Azarello/Chiang run.
Harley Quinn is just zany fun. Maybe the most enjoyable DC ongoing right now.
Since Johns and everyone else finished their Green Lantern runs and especially during that Forever Evil crap I've found anything not Vertigo just awful from DC
Actually nvm, I'm still reading Earth 2, Wonder Woman and Worlds Finest, but most of the main DC stuff has been pretty bad
gosh i haven't even considered picking up a DC title since damien died. Not that I was upset about it. I just sort of lost all interest.
Also can anyone give an update on what ever happened to Richard Rider? Is he back?
Rider is still unknown. Next issue hopefully.
And this seems to be a yearly thing with DC now where one month each year they are just going to take all their monthly titles off on a side story that really doesn't connect them to anything.
In true Bendis fashion what happened after Thanos Imperative is getting dragged out immensely. I was expecting one issue to explain how the fuck all those guys are alive + the location of Dick Rider, not the at least 3 we're looking at.
Also still waiting for explanation why Starlord is a blonde since he came back.
Because Cosmic Cube said so? Or
Spoiler: show
I still expect we're going to find out that Rider is trapped in the Cancerverse. He'll bust out eventually but will be driven insane by his experiences on the inside.
He's blonde in the flashbacks, and also carrying around the element gun Bendis decided to strap on him. Because fuck continuity.
In a letters section for Nova a few months back they confirmed that Richard is alive, but have obviously kept mum on his whereabouts.
I hope he returns missing an arm and crazy just to piss off all the Dick Rider fanboys.
