For me all the Hickman image books are winners: East of West, Manhattan Projects, and The Dying and the Dead
My other two favorite comic writers have excellent image series: Greg Rucka's Lazarus and Eddie Brubaker's Velvet and The Fade Out (also Fatale recently ended and it was great)

Also really enjoy: Alex + Ada, The Wicked + the Divine, Rat Queens, Sex Crims, Saga (duh), Wytches, Black Science, C.O.W.L., Copperhead, Revival, Southern Bastards, and prob even more.
I need to catch up on Remender's image stuff. Low seems cool but I've only read the 1st. Deadly Class kinda lost me after the 1st trade, but I do wanna keep going.

I totally get the Marvel love btw. I love they they're doing big epic storytelling, but also have an indie-like feel with titles like Howard the Duck (I love me some Chip), Hawkeye, She-Hulk, Silver Surfer etc.

Speaking of Image, is there a reason alot of their series took March off? Sex, Velvet, Lazarus, and quite a few others haven't had anything since mid Feb and some aren't getting new issues til late May.

Haven't heard anything, but Lazarus was between arcs and I think Velvet too (I'm behind). Seems like it's a trending practice to take 1-2 months (or more) between arcs so the artist can work on the next run and put out a trade to fill the gap.

I've assumed that's the case, but agitating that three of the books I read regularly from them (alongside Saga and East of West) all went on break at the exact same time.

Fraction's run has had a lot of delays simply due to he and the artist's schedule. Instead of rushing or having an artist fill in, Marvel has granted them a lot of leeway to finish at their own pace (which says a lot for Marvel btw)

Surprise! It's a metaphor about giving up the persona to protect his family and then the final incursion happens, the story is fun and there are some great side stories after though!

what did they do about deadpool getting his head pulled off by apocalypse? was his healing factor back? man ive really lost track of ole wade

When he lost his healing factor a couple years ago (like we saw in Uncanny X-Force aside from his solo series) he got it back a few months later.

Did anyone read any of the Convergence tie-ins? Only one I considered was The Question because Rucka is writing it. Rest could be ok though, at least I like characters involved
