Best candidates I would imagine would be Doctor Octopus (not to spoil anything from ASM), Ben Reilly, or...Uncle Ben? There's a time travel story going on right now in the Spider-Man/Silk miniseries, not impossible it would retcon Uncle Ben's death at the end. The web-only Cable/Deadpool comic had big ramifications for Cable (fixed all of the many problems he had since X-Force), so these things do matter for the mainstream comics.

I don't know if they would roll out the big teasers for anything less than a major character. Mattie Franklin or Marla Jameson coming back ain't gonna cut it.

They've also gone out of their way to make it obvious it's multiple characters coming back. I expect we're going to have a massive incoming of former dead characters for writers to play with.

I'm going to recommend taking a look at Venus out of Boom Studios.
The Spire is good too.

I enjoyed issue 1 of Venus, probably read #2 this weekend. Trade waiting on The Spire. Spurrier's books tend to read better collected.
