As someone who read Gen 13, Youngblood, WildC.A.T.s, and the rest when they first came out, it always surprises me when I remember that Image is not only still around, but making exceptional comic books.

With Hickman and Remender gone from Marvel, Image is easily my favorite publisher right now. Lazarus, Saga, Revival, Low, Morning Glories, Birthright, East of West, Velvet, Monstress, Sex.. I could keep going. I wish alot of titles didn't have such erratic publishing schedules, but that's the nature of the beast with them

The fact that they handle digital distribution (DRM free CBZ files) so much smarter then Marvel/DC definitely works in their favor as well

Speaking of... I'm pretty pissed at DC after announcing, and introducing, a Gen13 series was coming and then nothing since...

I'm happy Image has expanded from it's shit origins and let's be honest, they were terrible. I bought them all too: Spawn, Youngblood, WildCats, Wetworks, Savage Dragon, The silver hawk vigilante guy(forgot his name). Art was great(not Liefeld) but the writing for the most part was shit.

So I read The Rage of Ultron today and thought it was fantastic. It's been a while since I've seen dicks kicked in that hard and the only resolve was plotkai-no-jutsu. Was this cannon to respects of FF and Secret Wars or just an interpretation.

Rage of Ultron is canon, about to be picked up in Avengers.

Definitely the most effective Starfox has been in a comic...ever.

Ha! He was cool. Confused me though. I seen him get taken out with Spiderman only to reappear like nothing happened at the end. Through me off but his dialogue was solid. Speaking of Spiderman, they oversold his dialogue.

Probably been asked or discussed in this thread. With Marvel's Secret Wars cross-overs being another reconsolidation/house cleaning, before they released new titles under All New All Different banner, do I need to read anything before I dive into Secret Wars? Also, any bridging books between SW and ANAD?

Avengers and New Avengers, maybe Fantastic Four/FF before that.

While I think you can enjoy Secret Wars without reading any other stuff, to fully appreciate it you'd really want to go thru Hickman's entire catalog of Marvel leading up to it (well not so much SHIELD and Secret Warriors, but those are both good reads anyways). Granted that is a fuck ton of material to work thru, but I think most people here would agree that the payoff is worth it.

As for transitioning from SW to All-New All-Different, there isn't really any titles to bridge the gap. Everything is being presented as a mostly fresh start from here on out (old history still applies, but the stories are designed to ease in new readers).

Yea you can start at his fantastic four dark reign. I've said it one million times but it bears repeating. Hickman's fantastic four run is the best thing ever

You could probably skip alot of the supplemental stuff. Personally I'd go with Fantastic Four : Dark Reign, Fantastic Four/FF, Avengers/New Avengers/Infinity, then on to Secret Wars. You might end up a little confused at certain points (like during the 8 month jump in Time Runs Out) but you can peace it together pretty easily. That said of you want to get down with that entire list more power to you.

Also while not really connected to any of that run, Secret Warriors is fucking dope and worth a look.

Think it's time to reread everything again. That moment from Fantastic Four #601 (if you read it you know exactly which one I'm talking about) is the most satisfying couple of pages I've ever read in a comic.

Yeah, without reading ANY side stuff that 8 month time jump where a BUNCH of new people showed up and original people chnaged drastically was definitely confusing for me. I was able to guess what happened here and there with light Google-fu though.

It's a little annoying that so many hanging plot threads from that period are never going to be resolved. Like afaik Axis still happened, so why isn't Tony Stark still evil?

Nope was never resolved. Sabretooth is still affected by it but Tony somehow isn't.
